They stepped forward at once and hauled Eira and Gavin up from the floor.
"No! Curtis, please don't!"
"Whatever Isabelle could do, I can do too! Keep me by your side. I'll do anything you want. Just don't send me off to bear children for those disgusting men!"
Curtis waved a hand in disgust.
"Take them out."
With those three gone, the room finally felt much quieter.
Flora looked at me with a smile.
"Bella, our Curtis has liked you since he was little. Are you really not going to consider him? He's never been good at expressing himself, and he never dared say what was in his heart. The day he found out you had chosen Larry, he went home and drank himself senseless. But in the end, he still chose to respect you and bury his feelings."
