My stomach churned, and I felt sick.
I waved my hands wildly, refusing to let him come any closer.
"Get away from me! Don't come near me!"
Eira was instantly enraged by my reaction.
"Isabelle, you're nothing but a parasite living off your parents. What gives you the right to look down on Gavin? If it weren't for Larry's sake, the Norwood family would never take in a capitalist's daughter like you, even if you threw yourself at us!"
Then she turned to Larry with a cold look on her face.
"Larry, if you can't even make this decision, then don't ever bring up the eye surgery again!"
Larry panicked at once.
"Eira, don't be mad. I'll have her tied to the bed right now!"
As soon as he said that, he called in the bodyguards waiting outside the door.
"Tie Isabelle to the bed. Until she and Gavin consummate the marriage, she is not to leave this room for even a second!"
I looked at Larry in disbelief.
But before I could even fight back, the bodyguards had already lifted me up and thrown me onto the bed.
At Eira's signal, Gavin reached out and started tugging at my clothes.
He kept chanting under his breath,
"Make baby with wife! Make baby with wife!"
Terrified, I struggled with all my strength.
"Larry, make him stop!"
But Larry's voice only turned colder.
"Isabelle, be good and give Gavin a child. If you keep making a scene like this, does that mean you don't want to marry me anymore?"
What he did not know was this.
Before our marriage had ever been finalized, Larry's father, George Vickers, and his mother, Flora Vickers, had both asked me,
"Bella, our family has two sons. Which one do you like better? Whoever you choose to marry will become the heir to the Vickers family."
The marriage alliance between the Everly family and the Vickers family had long since been decided.
Even my parents had said that the Vickers family's elder son was actually better suited to be the heir than Larry.
But I had still chosen Larry.
We were close in age, and we shared many of the same interests.
But in that moment, I regretted it.
With every ounce of strength in me, I shouted,
"Larry, I'm not marrying you anymore!"
Larry frowned.
"Isabelle, don't joke about our marriage."
Eira let out a mocking laugh beside him.
"Who was it that made a huge scene in the Vickers family back then, insisting on marrying Larry? And now you're saying you won't marry him? Who would believe that?"
Larry was clearly influenced by what she said.
He was convinced I could not leave him.
The way he spoke sounded as if he were humoring a spoiled child.
"I know this is your first time going through something like this, so you're a little shy. Once you realize how pleasurable it is, you won't resist so much."
Gavin's face lit up with excitement as he suddenly ripped my clothes open.
The sound of tearing fabric was especially harsh in the room.
"Get away from me!"
Crying and struggling at the same time, I kicked and flailed desperately to keep him from touching me.
In the chaos, my foot struck him right in the face.
Gavin immediately burst into tears.
"Eira, it hurts! Isabelle doesn't like me..."
Eira rushed over and coaxed him gently for a few moments.
Then she turned back to me and slapped me across the face in fury.
"So your Everly family thinks that just because you have money, you can bully my brother like this? He only wanted a child with you. What did he do wrong? What gave you the right to hit him so hard?"
Seeing Eira so angry that her face had turned red, Larry's tone grew even colder.
"Isabelle, stop being so unreasonable. Look at how upset you've made Eira."
