I open the door with a pre-fabricated smile and enter, looking for my boss with my eyes. I sigh when I notice he is not in the office, but immediately frown and hurry to my desk to drop off my things and call him. With my numb fingers, I dial his number on the landline phone on my desk, but he doesn’t answer. I click my tongue, hang up, and walk towards his desk to see if he left me a note. Nothing. There’s only a cup of coffee, folders open with documents, and even a silver tray with a white porcelain plate, cutlery set, and leftovers. I sigh, lifting the tray to throw away the food. I place the tray without leftovers on the surface of a table to my right and return to organize everything on his desk. When I pick up the cup of coffee to move it for a moment, I realize it is still hot,
