“Hey sleepyhead wake up.” A sudden voice woke me up on my daydream. I stretched my hand up and look at my surroundings, oh I was still in the cafeteria of my school. The bustling of the students around me made me realized that something is up. “What’s going on? Why are the students in our school are acting like there’s a famous person here?” I looked at my friend Sasha. “Oh silly you didn’t hear the news? Hades is back!” she replied squealing.  She’s acting like a worm who’s been sprinkled in salt. “Hades who?” I frowned, seriously who is that? “Hades Reed, age 18 he is once called the ‘Golden Boy’ for his good looks and bright future.” Sasha seriously replied “He’s our quarterback and he won in every game he played!” she looked at me like I’m an alien. “Seriously couz, you didn’t know the ‘Great and Mighty’ Hades?” my cousin Alex asked. His blue eyes are twinkling as he took a bite of his Chocolate ice cream. I frowned at him who eats ice cream in lunch? “I seriously don’t know him. But why is he such a hot topic?’ I asked. “Because Hades is back and he repeated, he will be the same year as us.” Alex replied. “And he changed! Like a whole new level!” Sasha added. “And why is that a big deal?” I asked again as I bite my apple pie. “Because he will steal my ‘Most Handsome’ title in our batch!” Alex dramatically replied making me rolled my eyes. But before I can say a sarcastic reply the bell rang.     We entered our class and saw it nearly full only one seat is available. We both looked at each other and ran towards the empty chair. Unfortunately I lost. This giant man! “Not even sorry that you have short legs” he laughed and messed my hair. “My genius and handsome cousin, please give the chair to this poor little soul” I pleaded. But the jerk pretended that he didn’t hear me. He sit in the chair comfortably and talk to his side ignoring me. “I will give you five scoops later if you give me that chair.” I bribed. “Couz even of you give me hundreds I wouldn’t change my mind.” He replied. That’s odd, he usually give in to my bribes. “What? At least help me pick up a chair on the empty rooms near here.” I asked cutely. “Are you blind? We still have empty slot at the back.” He answered. I frowned. I looked at the chairs in the back and saw all of it occupied. “Are you kidding me? It’s all occupied.” I told him like he’s the blind one. His smile fades and stared at me.  “Come on Alex, maybe she wants to sit beside me, why don’t you give it to her.” Luke – the one beside Alex joked. But his joke wasn’t responded as Alex stands and whispered at me. “The second at seat at the last left is occupied?” “Yes, why – oh.” I replied. Realization flashes through my mint. “Can you help me on this one couz?’ I asked him. Alex coldly replied “Nope. Sorry” and went back to his seat. I squint my eyes on him and went to the last not so empty seat. You see, in the eyes of many I looked like your typical high school girl but one thing that is not ordinary for me is I can see ghost. I can sense that they are ghost but the ghost in front of me doesn’t feel like one. She’s wearing a white dress with a lily flower print at the lower skirt. Her long and wavy hair are put in one side. She’s staring at the man beside me when she noticed me staring at her. She smiled at me. “You can see me don’t you? I gulped and pretended not to hear her. I hummed a song as I placed my books on the table. Luckily the teacher entered the class and began to call our attendance. I hurriedly sit the now empty chair not minding the guy beside me. “Now, for this class essays I want you to be partnered with the person beside you and write your thoughts about this book.” He showed The Catcher in the Rye of J. D Salinger “I want you to pass your essays in two weeks’ time. I’ll give you the rest of our time to talk with your partner” I open my notebook and hold my pen as I face my partner. As I looked at him understanding dawned in me on why my jerk cousin coldly refuse me. He rather throw me into the lion’s den than him. The man beside me reeks of danger, he wears black shirt that hugs his ripped body and black jeans. His dark hair matches on his hazel eyes but now his eyes are coldly glared at me. I cleared my throat and tried to smile at him. “What are your thoughts in the book?” I asked him but it feels like I am talking to the air as he ignored me and closed his eyes. The audacity of this guy! I saw the pitiful look of my cousin towards me which I ignored as I glared at my partner. “Look, I don’t want to bother you in your sleep but I need to pass this subject.” I whispered. He ignored me and when the bell rang he stormed his way and the students pave way. “You!” my cousin exclaimed. “What? Can’t you see I’m upset?” I said as I pack my things. “Do you have a death wish? Don’t you know who that guy is?” “Why is he some prince that I’m not aware of?” “How come I have an i***t cousin like you?” Alex mutter “That guy my friend is Hades.” “You just met your death.”
