840 Words
It has been a couple weeks since finding out I am a witch. It still not sitting well with me because of that secret my parents never told me about. It kind of left a sense of betrayal in a way. It makes me wonder what else they are hiding. My only new concern is what this family feud that is between my family and The Wentz Family. My parents won’t even talk about it. It’s like the question was never asked. I guess I will gave to dig it up myself or not. Cassandra and I have not hung out lately. She barely even in class half the time. Something must be wrong? I guess I will have to call her. Classes flew by like any other day. Calling Cassandra was not something I wanted to do but I had to tell her about what I found out about myself. “Hello? “Cassandra barely auditable on the other end of the phone. “Cass. It’s me. Margo, “telling her. “Margo, Sorry. It’s been a while since we last saw one another. I have been helping Selma deal with her breakup and helping her move back in with her parents the last few weeks. Selma has been taking the breakup hard. I never really guessed hoe much she loved my boss.” Cassandra sounded tired, “Did you want to hangout with me at Turbo over burgers and fries?” “Sure” I replied before hanging up. Grabbing for my keys and jacket, I felt this strange pull in my head like an onset of a headache. But why were they suddenly appearing again. They stopped fir a few weeks. Looking around towards the trees in the backyard, I noticed someone or something watching me again. Another question I deserve an answer too. I will mention this to Cassandra. Maybe she would know what to do. Because I am beginning to feel scared about it now. I made it to Turbo Grill in one piece. Not followed for once. I recognized that distinctive motorbike. Of course, Lucius would be here. Cassandra was already waiting and appeared to have ordered for both of us. I love her for that. I take off my jacket and sit down. Looking around at the regulars like Thomas Klein hanging out with Lucius Wentz. I really do not see Thomas because he is a sophomore. Cassandra was looking at me, waiting to ask her. “You wanted to tell me something on the phone before coming here. What was it?” Cassandra questioned. “I have to tell you something. I think I am veins followed. My parents finally told me what they were hiding from me. They told me we were witches and overheard mention a family feud that I have no idea about.” I whispered. “I know. Because I am witch as well.” Cassandra nonchalantly addressed. “What do you mean you know about me being a witch? How could not tell me?” I asked. Suddenly, I felt betrayed by my best friend. Cassandra saw my face and said,” I was not supposed to tell you for reasons deemed for your safety. I am sorry. You got to believe me. I would never hurt you like this.” Cassandra has the look of desperation on her face. I honestly do not know what to say. I could say I am shocked by this. I immediately grabbed my jacket and was about to leave when Cassandra grabs my hand, “Please do not leave like this. I am sorry.” “I cannot deal with this right now. I thought the only person I could count on lied to me too. My parents lied to me. Is anyone else going to lie to me.” whisper yelling at her. Cassandra doesn’t say anything after I everything I said. I stomped my way out of Turbo and footsteps were following me. “Wait up a second” a voice said. I did need to guess who it was. No other than Lucius himself. Not caring that was angry and had headache developing from the stress. “What could possibly could you want, huh?!” yelling now. “I heard what you said to Cassandra back there. I just to be fair I did too. I was told the same thing by the elders. Not to tell you about the supernatural. You have to know that none of were given a choice but to follow. The only place to tell you everything was your parents. No one else.” Lucius explained to her before walking back inside. I stood in the parking lot for probably about an hour just staring. Why was I not allowed to know? To be honest, I felt more lost than ever. This was just more than headache. My life was spinning out of control. I really wanted out. I needed to know what my parents were hiding from me more than ever.
