Chapter 13-The End is Near Part One

It has been a few days since the call came that Lucius has Cassandra, Margo doesn’t know what is planning and it has everything to do with her. Both Margo and Ava pondered on a plan to get Cassandra back. They both know it is going to be risky. Margo was looking at the shed in the picture that Lucius sent. She lost in thought then said, ”The shed looks familiar to me. I was held in that same shed. It was at night though.”

“Do you remember how to get there?” Ava asked.

“Not really.” Margo admitted.

“I will probably need to shift in order to get Cassandra scent you know,”Ava told Margo.

“Yes, I know but it more likely have to be at night. But what happens afterwards?” Margo pondered.

Truthfully, she didn’t want to know the answer to that question. Ava and Margo both dispersed for the rest of the day. Both Ava and Margo went to school like normal.

Lucius absorbed more of Cassandra’s magic. Leaving her more like a hollow sack but with skin. She was looking older and wrinkles showing on her skin. Her hair had lost its color. It turned white and gray. Cassandra was looking forward to dying instead of enduring the pain for much longer. Lucius kept coming back for seconds and this time ended up taking all of Cassandra’s magic. He decided to just leave her for dead.

It was later in the day, the girls had their tasks for when they found Cassandra. Both of the girls dressed in black but Ava had to be in wolf form to catch Cassandra scent trail towards the shed. They were getting close to the shed and mostly Lucius’s scent was strong but were stopped by voices.

“Kaleb and Jacob what are both doing here?” Lucius asked.

“I wanted to see what you did to other witch. Jacob was curious as usual.” Kaleb shrugged. He takes a look at the shed.

The shed was open and the smell came out in waves that Ava could pick up the smell of death. Ava decided to inch closer to the shed but she stepped on a twig. Margo shifted position to hide. The guys heard the rustling nearby and looked around them with flashlights. Then went back to the shed.

Kaleb and Jacob told Lucius in whispers that he should just leave her body there. He will come back for it later. The men left soon afterward. The coast was clear for the girls to investigate.

The girls opened the shed and had to hold their noses. The smell was awful up close. Sitting in the chair was Cassandra's hollow body. Margo didn’t know what to say and just broke down. Ava didn’t know how to comfort Margo but just stare at Cassandra’s body. They could only her there and closed the door. Both girls rushed back to Margo’s house.

Noticing unfamiliar car sitting in the driveway, both girls suddenly didn’t feel right. Running up the porch to open the door. The door opened to Magnus Weller instead and said, “Nice of you ladies coming to join us.”

Ushering the girls inside towards the living room, Olga and Albert were tied up and gagged. Olga was sobbing and Albert looked stoic.

“What is going on here?” Margo suddenly afraid. Seeing her parents in their current state.

Ava was slowly backing out of the room but was stopped Lucius. He dragged her back to the living room and placed Ava on the couch.

“Something that should’ve ended years ago. But I only waited until now to go through with it.” Magnus said taking a large kitchen knife and slit Albert’s throat. Olga was crying more tears watching her husband bleed out.

Margo was inching back but Lucius held her in place. She was sobbing now.

“I killed the family member that you guys blamed Lucius’s family for. But they were innocent in the matter. They only want revenge.” Magnus admitted and took the same knife to slit Olga’s throat.

Ava was confused by what was happening. She could create a diversion to get Margo and herself out. She shifted into her wolf and attacked Magnus. Margo screamed and knocked Lucius over by hitting his head with the vase. Trying to get the backyard, both were stopped by Jacob and Thomas. Jacob had a gun pointed at Ava. Thomas had a gun pointed at Serena.
