Margo sat in the passenger seat not knowing what to say to Selma about what happen to Cassandra. She was still recovering from her friend’s death and murder. She vales to get revenge on Lucius for that one day but not now. Looking out the window, thinking about what to do now that she can’t go home for awhile. The Supernatural society is probably going to want to hunt her and the rest of them down now that Magnus Weller is dead.
Ava was resting her head on her brother’s shoulder so was Serena. The girls might have to start over like her. Live with new identity for safety. The rest of the ride was quiet until they made to Selma’s place.
“What town are we in?” Margo asked while opening up the car door.
“Cederbrook. Don’t worry you and others are safe here. Lucius won’t try to find you.” Selma reassuring Margo.
Margo was still nervous considering everything that happened. The rest followed inside after Margo.
“How many bedrooms are there in the house?” Thomas asked Selma.
“There’s five. Unless you want to include the attic as a bedroom,” Selma said.
“Ava and Serena can share a room. Margo can have Cassandra old room. Thomas can take my brother’s room. I have my parents old room. I have extra everything if you need anything else just let me know. I bid everyone good night. “Selma said going for the stairs. Ava and Serena followed after.
It was only Margo and Thomas left awake yet. Both didn’t say anything to either. Thomas watched Margo and asked, “How are holding up with everything that happened?”
“Not great. I lost three people tonight. I won’t get them back. My question is why were with the hunters and Lucius before?” Margo sadly questioned.
“Supernatural hunting was passed down in my family. My father and mother were both involved in it. They made a business out of it on the black market. I only went along with it. My parents never told Ava about any of it until recently. Lucius only wanted revenge and could have succeeded tonight with almost killing you. That would caused a lot of problems for me,” Thomas confessed.
“Lucius was stalking me up until current events.” Margo told Thomas.
“Really, he never mentioned that to me. It is creepy still.” Thomas said.
Margo and Thomas moved closer so they can talk some more. They spend the whole night talking. Both of them fell asleep on the couch. Not noticing their bodies both tangled together.
The sun was shining through the curtains, Ava and Serena both were downstairs and entered the living room. They both looked at either and let Margo and Thomas sleep. Serena giggled.
“Your brother and Margo being would actually work,” Serena ideally said to Ava in the kitchen.
Ava was making everyone breakfast. Serena was helping when she could. The smell of blueberry pancakes was in the air. Both girls heard feet on the stairs and movement from the couch close by. Serena was setting up the table and help bring out breakfast. Everyone was eating until Selma asked, “What did exactly happen yesterday?”
The others looked at one another and said, “There was a showdown at Margo’s house. People died and Lucius went off the rails. Then we escaped.”
Selma nodded but then asked, “ How come Cassandra wasn’t with you guys upon my arrival?”
No one looked up or said anything.
“Cassandra passed away,” Margo whispered, “I am so sorry.”
Selma pushed her chair back with her plate went back to the kitchen. They heard Starr slamming stuff and scream, “WHY!”
The others got up from the table and went to different parts of the house. Margo grabbed all the plates and helped clean up. She wanted to comfort Selma in the process but she knew it would not be the case. Instead she turned to Thomas for comfort.
Thomas didn’t seem to mind that Margo was seeking comfort from him. He secretly enjoyed it. It proves he never thought about anything serious until Margo cake to him. Maybe there could be something there between them and not realize it.
