Chapter Three

I groaned, regaining consciousness. My head was pounding furiously as I ran my tongue over my chapped lips. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. I inhaled sharply, realizing I was somewhere dark, very dark. My head throbbed as I turned my head to the side, finding what looked to be a gate. No, bars. Bars! I was in a cell. I placed my hands on the cold stone floor and pushed myself to my knees, gathering just enough strength to stand. Something felt wrong and heavy, and I glanced down to see shackles on my wrists. I started to panic, my breaths coming out in short puffs, the air turning white each time I exhaled. It was freezing! Where was I? I tried to make sense of what happened, of why I was here. I glanced outside the cell to find a stone slab just outside, and something moved on it. I crept as close as my chains would allow, and as I got closer and looked at the stone, I turned and violently vomited in the corner. Bekah was lying on that slab, still dressed in just her bra and panties from when she was stripping. I shoved myself towards the bars and gripped them tightly as tears began to run down my face. “Bekah! Bekah, please wake up!” I whispered loudly. I raised my hands, ready to slam my shackles against the bars to wake her, but stopped. I couldn’t risk being loud. I didn’t know where the guys were, and I didn’t want them to know I was awake. Fury contorted my face as I remembered trying to get to Bekah after Nolan spiked her drink, only to be caught and drugged by Austin. Bile rose in my throat when I remembered that I had found him attractive. “Bekah!” I whispered harshly. I held my breath, waiting until I heard a moan. I almost cried out from pure relief knowing that she was still alive. “Bekah! Wake up!” I ordered. Bekah slowly turned her head towards me. Her eyes fluttered as if she would fall back asleep. I watched her lids flutter open, watched as her eyes found mine. “Kass, your eyes. They’re green.” Bekah mumbled, sounding surprised. My hands flew to my face in shock. s**t! My breaths were uneven as I realized my contacts must have fallen out somewhere on the floor of the cell, but there wasn’t enough light to see by, let alone to find them, and even if I did, I didn’t have anything to clean them with. I cursed when I realized I may have to move again. But I didn’t want to leave Bekah, I owed her everything. “Don’t worry about my eyes Bekah. They drugged us. Are you able to move?” I kept my voice strong and steady. There was no use in making Bekah panic. I watched in horror as Bekah tried to sit up, only to realize that she was strapped to the stone by her hands, waist, and feet. My eyes shuddered. There was no way out of here. I turned away from Bekah and got to my knees, flinging my hands around the cell, trying to find anything I could use to pick the locks. I wanted to scream when my hands met nothing but cold, hard stone. “We’re trapped. Aren’t we?” Bekah whimpered, her grogginess now gone. Likely re[replaced with terror. I made my way back to the bars, my eyes glued to Bekah’s. All I could do was watch as tears rolled down her cheeks and into the stone below. “Don’t cry Beks. I will find a way out. I will find a way to get us both out of here.” I promised her, hoping that it wasn’t a lie. I placed my forehead on the cold iron bars, ransacking my brain for anything that would be useful. I jumped when I heard a door slam open somewhere, and I jerked my head towards the sound. Heavy footsteps made their way closer, and I tensed as they came around the corner. Bekah flinched as I slammed my shackles against the bars. “What have you done!” I roared as Austin stepped closer to my cell, stopping to brush his hand down Bekah’s leg. I growled, and he chuckled. He slowly made his way towards me, stopping just out of my reach. “Well, Kassidy. They don’t call this the Hell House for no reason, darling.” He laughed as my face fell. “First, we are going to have some fun with Rebekah here,” He drawled. My stomach lurched at his insinuation. “Then we will move on to you, we have big plans for you both.” He grinned as he turned his back to me and made his way behind Bekah’s head at the edge of the stone table. He brushed her hair away from her face, causing Bekah to flinch, jerking her head away from his hands. “I will KILL you!” I promised, venom lacing my words. The corner of Austin’s lips merely tipped up, as if he were amused. “In case you haven’t noticed, you’re on the wrong side of the bars,” Austin smirked, and I wanted nothing more than to wipe that smirk off his face, but I couldn’t. Not until my medicine wore off. “For now.” I grinned madly, enjoying the slight dip in his smirk. He waited silently, running his hands through Beka’s hair until more footsteps sounded down the corridor. “Are we clear?” Austin questioned the other two men from the party. They must be his lackeys. “The house is secure, all non-members have been sent away,” Connell answered as he made his way to the left side of the slab and Bekah. Nolan slumped to her right. All I could do was watch in horror as they surrounded my friend. “Then let’s begin.” Austin purred excitedly. My heart skipped as they all turned towards me and grinned.
