The doctor walked in rapidly with his kits in hand. He bowed his head effortlessly as he approached the king, not uttering a single word as he walked to my mother, examining her before he tilted his head to look at the alpha. I could not stop myself from constantly drifting off to thinking of Helen in the dungeon.
“What happened to her, alpha?” He asked, and the alpha did not waste time, inhaling deeply before he talked.
