HELEN.
“Now, where has a little wolf like you been hiding?”
What kind of question is that?
“I… um, is there anything I can help you with?” I ask quietly, the mug of milk strategically placed between us as the only form of defense I have.
“I am sure we can figure that out,” he says, his voice rumbling as he begins walking forward prompting me to take several steps back until I am backed against the wall. “What is your name?” he asks as he uses a finger to begin stroking my face. “And why aren't you outside with the rest?”
“Um… I am not allowed to,” I fib. “I am on omega.”
“An omega?” he asks with a note of surprise. “You are way too pretty to be an omega.”
Without warning, he pressed into me and fit his nose into the crook of my neck to take a big sniff.
“You don't smell like an omega, “ he murmurs, sending tiny shocks of arousal through my body. “You have warrior blood. You should be outside.”
“Please, can I… let me go.”
“Now why would I do that?” he replies with a smirk, his eyes now licked on mine but his whole still pressed snugly into mine. “You are exactly the type of woman I have been looking for.”
“I-”
“Levi!”
Oh, thank the goddess.
I have never been more grateful for Taylor’s annoying voice than right now.
He should go with her.
Hurry, before I embarrass myself.
“You again,” he growls violently as he turns to her and I am surprised by how that turns me on.
“Levi. She is an omega. You can't possibly be interested in her when there are so many worthy ladies here.”
“And who are you to tell me who I can or cannot be interested in? Do you see yourself as those worthy women?”
“Well-”
“Get out.”
His voice is quiet and cold, -similar to a calm before the storm- as he glares at her and I swear I can see a tint of red in his eyes.
“But-”
“I do not repeat myself.”
“Of course,” she says with head bowed and begins turning away but not before giving me a hateful glare.
What did I do?
If anything I am the one who should be annoyed by this situation.
What happens to all that crowing of her having-
Wait.
She said Levi, as in… Levi Hall?!
Oh no.
No, no, no, no.
This can't be happening.
Not to me.
Levi Hall, the Levi Hall, is known to be the most ruthless and most powerful wolf alive.
Heir apparent to the Apex pack, he has to be the strongest.
But even at that, it is rumored that he has surprised every expectation the trainers had for him.
No wonder Taylor was so hung up on him, he is the biggest hardest wolf.
Of course, she wants him.
If she manages to please him or has the opportunity to bear his pup her whole life will be settled.
And he just rejected her.
Because of me.
“Now where were we little wolf?” he asks as he turns back to me.
He hadn't moved at all from my body, his lean muscled pecs evoking all sorts of delicious feelings in me.
Wrong feelings.
His raven black hair was tied back into a short ponytail, which somehow made his ice blue eyes pop, the scar on the left side of his mouth also becomes more pronounced with the lazy smile he gives me.
“I-”
“Why don't we finish this upstairs? In your room. You can spread those pretty legs for me and we will both have a good time.”
Oh, goddess.
This can't be happening.
I don't want this, least of all with the most fearsome will alive.
Unfortunately for me, my body doesn't seem to get the memo.
I can feel my n*****s tighten to hard buds until they become even too sensitive to the material of the worn out shirt. Between my tight, I can feel the moisture dripping, I can smell it and I am sure he can too.
Even my wolf is no help, as I can hear her purring in my mind, practically willing and ready to do as he asks.
This is not how I thought my night would go.
“What are you thinking about, little wolf?” he murmurs against my ear, making me bite back a gasp at the sensation the movement evokes.
“My name is Helen and I am sorry but I am going to have to refuse your offer,” I bite out, desperately fighting for control.
“What?” he asks, his voice normal as he rears back to look at me. “What did you say?”
“I said no, thank you.”
“Why the hell not?”
“Because I don't want to. Because I am not interested. Why should I?”
“You do realize this is mandatory-”
“I do,” I sat, cutting him off because apparently, I have a death wish. But I am already on a roll, so why stop now? “So, why don't you go to the other willing she wolves to rut. Taylor seems particularly eager to be with you.”
“Do you have any idea of who I am?” he demands.
“Yes, I know who you are. You are Levi Hall, the future Alpha of the Apex pack. Rumored to be the most ruthless and powerful wolves known.”
“And you are rejecting me?”
“I don't want this,” I plead. “If I did, I would be one of the ladies out there. I am not. All I want to do is go back to bed and avoid all troubles.”
“You are a brave one, aren't you, Helen?” he murmurs as he takes my jaw and smiles. Slow and deliberate. “I am intrigued.”
What?
No.
Not intrigued.
That is a bad thing for me.
“I-”
“Hush now,” he says as he places a finger over my lips. “Tell me, how did one with Beta blood end up as an omega in this s**t hole of a pack?”
“I… uh, my pack… was raised by them when I was younger. I was taken as a war trophy,” I answer.
“I see. So you have no binding ties to them?”
“No, I don't.”
“Good,” he remarks with a smile as he steps away, finally allowing me some semblance of sanity.”That is very good. Go back to bed, little wolf, and make sure to lock your doors. No peeking through the windows, we wouldn't want you to catch the eye of a less tolerant wolf.”
I don't think twice at his offer before I hightail it out of there, mug shards forgotten on the floor.
Within seconds, I am back in the attic, with the food locked securely behind me.
Yet, I don't feel satisfied.
I begin pulling the huge trunks of boxes and tackling them on top of each other against the door.
“What just happened?” I ask out loud.
I can't believe he let me go.
The Levi Hall, a future Alpha, took a rejection with a smile.
What are the odds of that happening?
And more importantly, am I safe?
Did I really avoid a bullet?
What is going to happen now?
“Oh, goddess,” I groan as I slowly crumble to the floor.
I should have stayed inside.
Forced myself to sleep, count sheep or something but no.
I just had to go for some milk.
“Hah! There is no way I am going to sleep now.”
