I stood there shocked and unable to believe my ears
My heart raced in fear as his words reverberated in my mind. “Was he actually telling the truth? I mean, was he serious about what he just said to me?” I asked myself, placing a palm over my forehead as I wiped my face gently with it. “What am I going to do?” I asked myself, scoffing loudly.
I did not know that I had stood there for so long until I started to feel weak in my knees. Turning around gently to leave the garden and go back inside the pack, I could not help but halt my steps again as I was hit by another wave of thoughts. “I should have just stayed in my room. Maybe I would not have witnessed all this mess.” I thought for a moment and began to draw my legs sluggishly back into the pack.
