It was the first day in the pack without Helen in it at all. I woke slightly at peace with myself as I kept reminding myself that she was not in the pack, at least for the time being. The sudden knock on my door jolted me back to reality and I did not think twice guessing that it was Eli. “She is back to the pack again,” I whispered and inhaled deeply before I walked to the door to unlock it. She slightly opened the door and peeked into the room but not for long as the door went wide open and then she walked in.
