Chapter 31

Laura Conti's POV I moved around in the bedsheet that Lucca and I shared last night. It was magical and Lucca showed me a lot of things in the art of lovemaking. I was satisfied and fully craved for him, again and again, and again. I never would have made the first move to ask for s*x but when he did not say anything, I happily took him in. I was smiling in my sleep when I felt someone's lips on my neck. "You're awake, sleeping beauty?" Lucca whispered as he licked my ears and I laughed out loud as I felt ticklish at that spot. "Since my husband was waking me up with his wicked way, I guess I have to accommodate his needs," I said before Lucca took me on the wave of ecstasy again and again and again. It was not until noon that I decided we need to get out of bed and take a shower together. I washed Lucca's chest and back as he did the same to me. Only he wanted more than that and we ended up spending some more time in the shower for 'dessert', as Lucca put it. I was choosing what to wear from the closet. I was still wearing my towel when I can feel someone's heat from behind. "Come on, Laura, hurry up or we're going to miss brunch," Lucca whined as he hugged me from behind. I laughed at his whining before I took the yellow sundress and matching red underwear. I pushed Lucca aside as he walked toward the bed and sat on it as he waited for me to get dressed. I had a little mischief in mind as I took off my towel in front of him with my back toward him. "Laura, what are you doing?" He asked dangerously. I smirked before turning toward him innocently. "Getting dress, why?" I said as I put on my thong and hooked my bra. I posed in front of him before speaking again. "Do you want to help?" I said seductively as I swayed my hips toward him before strangling his laps. He looked at me murderously before caressing my arms. "I would for a thousand times but we need to fill you up, I don't want you to be out of energy when we did it multiple times," he said before I blushed as my memories went back to last night. He chuckled at me before pecking my lips and standing me up. He went to pick up the dress and dressed me up. He zipped my dress at the back and turned to look at me afterward. "Perfect, now let's get something to eat," he said as he took my hand and led me down to the elevator at the end of the hallway. ***** We were sitting in a restaurant near the hotel, Pomella. It was a cozy restaurant with casual soft songs playing in the background. We went to the hostess as she smiled at us. I was holding Lucca and my rings were glistening in the sunlight. She looked at my rings and tried to keep her eye contact off of Lucca. "Hi, two people?" She asked in English with a Nordic accent as I can sense she was not from Italy as Lucca nodded. She brought us near the window that overlooked the Aegean Sea. Lucca helped me to get into the chair before he took his own seat. The nice girl gave us the menus. "If you're ready to order, I would be Astrid," she said before leaving us to decide what would we have for lunch. I was scanning the menus and found that they served Chicken Saltimbocca. "What are you having?" I asked Lucca as I already knew what I wanted. "You," he said spontaneously. I blushed before clearing my throat. "Lucca, be serious please, we're in public," I hissed at him. He just laughed at me before he kissed my left hand. "Don't worry, I'll behave but tonight, you will be mine to tour," he said as he held his gaze on me and I can feel my face getting hotter. Lucca called for Astrid to place our orders. She took it and said it will come in 10 minutes since there were not many people at this hour. My stomach growled before the wine came. Lucca took off the cork and poured it into the glasses. I looked outside into the sea but in my peripheral view, I can see that Lucca was so good with it and I can't help but be impressed. I giggled at that thought. "What's so funny, amore?" He asked as he handed me the glass. "Oh, nothing. Just something that I saw," I said before I took a sip. I looked at him as he looked at me, trying to figure out what was so funny. The food came exactly in 10 minutes and Astrid left us to enjoy the view and chitchatting. I laughed with Lucca at his jokes and our memories together. After 2 hours of just chitchatting and sipping a bottle of wine, we finally got out of the restaurant and went to the beach to enjoy the sunset. We were walking hand in hand with Lucca holding our sandals. I wore sunglasses and a hat as Lucca only wore his sunglasses. He looked more mysterious and handsome that way. "What now?" I asked him after we took a seat on the sand. We were staring into the horizon as I hugged myself to let the wind breeze past me. "I don't know. Just enjoy, I guess," he said as he looked at me and smiled. I smiled at him before landing my head on his shoulder. "Lucca, do you want kids?" I asked out of the blue. His body went rigid. I guess it's too soon for the question. "Never mind," I said before he turned my face toward him. "Laura, I would be happy to have kids with you. It would mean a world to me," he whispered to me and I found out that it was more intimate that way. I smiled before I snuggled his neck. "Do you ever wish to get out of your life and just start fresh?" Lucca asked after we went silent for a while. "Why do you ask?" I said. He sighed. "I just wish that we would get out of Italy and travel the world, never had to keep in contact with our family again, just the two of us," he said as he took my hands into his. I chuckled before I caressed his cheek. "Is this about your mum saying something to me?" I asked him, arching an eyebrow. He nodded. "Lucca, it's fine. I don't need your mother's approval to be your wife but she's your mother and family comes first. I would love to have my parents back," I said, trying to control my breaking voice. Lucca hushed me as he hugged me. "I know, I'm sorry," he said as he kissed me on the head. "I wish they would too," he said before I looked at him. "Never say that you would leave your family again. They're mine too now," I said as I held his face to look how serious I was. "Yes, of course, dolcezza," he said before perking my lips. "Quick question, why do you always call me Dolcezza?" I asked him as I released his face from my hand. He smiled before he looked into the horizon. He never answered the question even though I begged him. He would just change the topic or he would make me forget with his devilish touches and caveman style. I guessed I would never know. I would have never expected that Lucca would be mine with all the speculations that I have about him and how I always distanced myself after college from him. I guess I was never moved on from my first love. They always said only lucky people would be with their first love and I was thankful for that. "Amore, let's go. It's almost dark," Lucca got up from the sand and offered his hand at me. I smiled at him before taking it and tiptoed to kiss him on the mouth. "What's that for?" He asked. I smiled. "Just because," I said before walking away from him. "Mrs. Giovanni, you have an explanation to make!" He said as I ran from him and he ran after me. We laughed, smiled, and looked into each other adoringly. My love story was simple but it was hard to get out the feeling with the fear of not having those feelings reciprocate the way we wanted. It was miserable at first, but we got through until we found our way toward each other. "So, I was thinking, maybe I should leave everything to Kyle to operate the family business," I said as I looked at Lucca. He was arching his eyebrow at me. "Why would you say that?" he said as he looked at me. I just shrugged. "Well, he's the eldest. Besides, I have my own family to think about," I said as I put my hands on my flat stomach. "God, I love you, Mrs. Giovanni. you're such an angel," Lucca said as he kissed me on the lips, knowing that I have his heart, forever and always.
