Karey dabs the lotion on the expanse of her leg, rubbing on as much skin as fast as she could. She throws another glance at the bedside table the numbers flashing on the device reminding her of how later she was. The painkillers helped with her headache but their downside was the heavy sleep they induced. She had snoozed right past her alarm and awoken to find the house deserted. Judging by the time, Killan and Nillan were already in school and Karey was grateful for having Kane around. He helped out in more ways that she could barely relay. Kane was truly god sent.
She didn’t necessarily have to report to work today
