CHAPTER 4: THE FORBIDDEN ZONE

692 Words
After that "turbulent" dinner, Hoac Kinh constantly found excuses to visit the Bach residence, claiming he needed to study with Bach Lien. But in reality, his mind only circled around that slender silhouette with those hauntingly magical eyes. That afternoon, Bach Lien was preoccupied, busy picking out dresses in her second-floor walk-in closet for an upcoming gala. Hoac Kinh stood in the hallway, feigning interest in his watch, but his ears were strained, catching every tiny sound. Suddenly, a cold hand reached out from behind, firmly covering his mouth while simultaneously pulling him forcefully into a narrow wooden door tucked right beneath the staircase. Click. The sound of the bolt sliding home was dry and definitive. Hoac Kinh’s instinct was to resist, but the familiar, pure scent instantly turned his muscles to lead. In the cramped, dusty darkness of the storage room—the place for old junk that doubled as the "bedroom" the Bachs assigned to Kieu Yen—their bodies were pressed together without a single gap. "Yen Yen... are you insane? Bach Lien is right upstairs," Hoac Kinh rasped, his ragged breath fanning against the crook of her neck. Kieu Yen didn't answer. She shoved him back against a stack of wooden crates. In the faint light filtering through the cracks in the door, her eyes glowed like a nocturnal predator. She leisurely used her slender fingers to undo Hoac Kinh’s necktie, then used it to bind his hands firmly behind his back. "Shh... If you speak that loudly, do you want her to come down here and catch us red-handed?" she whispered, her ruby lips only millimeters from his. Hoac Kinh felt his blood reach a boiling point. The typical bravado of a seventeen-year-old young master was utterly crushed by the sheer thrill of this illicit encounter. On the hardwood floor above, the intermittent clack-clack of Bach Lien’s heels echoed as she called down: "Kinh? Where are you? Come help me look at this dress!" That call acted like a shot of adrenaline, snapping Hoac Kinh’s nerves taut like a violin string. He strained his body, fighting to remain silent, but Kieu Yen’s proactive touch ensured his total defeat. She wasn't rushed. Kieu Yen took her time, her "wicked" hand stroking his heaving chest before sliding lower. Lingering kisses fell upon Hoac Kinh’s trembling Adam's apple. He had never tasted anything so terrifying yet so sweet: on one side was the abyss of humiliation if caught, and on the other was the heaven of desire Kieu Yen was opening up for him. "Young Master... your heart is racing," Kieu Yen smirked, her hand coming to a halt at his most sensitive spot. "Are you afraid of being caught... or are you excited because you're in my room?" Hoac Kinh bit his lip so hard it bled to stifle a moan. The sensation of being controlled by Kieu Yen in the dark, right under his fiancé’s nose, drove this "naive" bad boy into a frenzy. He no longer cared about his family’s prestige or the woman upstairs. At this moment, he only wanted to melt into the possession of this pragmatic girl. "Kinh? Are you down there?" Bach Lien’s voice grew closer; she seemed to be descending the stairs. Hoac Kinh’s eyes widened as he looked at Kieu Yen, his breath hitching in his chest. But Kieu Yen remained unfazed. She suddenly pressed in, kissing him deeply to block any sound he might make. The kiss carried the bitter sting of manipulation and the sugary high of betrayal. Only when the sound of Bach Lien’s footsteps faded toward the living room did Kieu Yen pull back, leisurely untying the tie from his wrists. She fixed her slightly disheveled hair and threw him a look filled with both contempt and satisfaction. "Young Master, today’s lesson ends here. Remember to pay your 'tuition' on time." She opened the door and slipped out, as nonchalant as if nothing had happened. Hoac Kinh remained in the dark storage room, the smell of damp wood lingering in the air, his hands still trembling. He looked down at his palms, where her warmth still remained.
