When I agreed to go shopping with Tara, I was expecting awkward interactions and probably an inferiorty complex if she bought from luxury stores. However, it went much smoother than that. She had kept the conversation going and seemed really interested when I told her about my mum’s web comics, going as far as installing the app where her works were published and subscribing to every comic my mum has on there. Promising to read later.
Right now, we were at the food court eating icecream and french fries, which she had insisted we go to before any shopping. She had agreed for us to split the bill, definitely to make me feel much less awkward. And I really appreciated that.
