When Aaron dropped me off at my house, with my directions, it was already dusk. I'd told my mum earlier that I was close by so she shouldn't worry, even sending her my location to assure her so I didn't get a spam of missed calls. Anything but that.
"Thank you." I said, not really knowing what to expect from our brief parting. I was nervous.
Aaron's lips lifted a little at the corners. "No, thank you for getting that hyperactive creature to go early to bed."
I laughed. Lily had wanted to show me her room after she took her bath, saying that her teddy would love to meet me too. However, I ended up picking up a fantasy novel (which was actually way too advanced for her in my opinion) and read it to her at her request while she stared at me from where she lay on her bed.
