Three days later, Lucien Kane walked into Elena's office without an appointment. There were no bandages or scars on his body, and he was looking perfectly fit and healthy. “Dr Voss”, he said and sat down.

“How are you even walking?” she asked.

“You put me back together,” he replied. “I remember your hands inside my chest, I remember the exact pressure of your fingers, and how gentle you are with me,” he said again, in a flirting way.

Elena kept the desk between them. “You should be in intensive care, why did you leave the hospital without the doctor's discharge?" She asked. "I heal quickly, don't worry about that ", he replied. "Please let me take you to dinner tonight, I want to thank you for taking care of me”, he said. "Oh I am so sorry, I am very busy, maybe some other time", she replied, smiling. Lucien smirked, he was furious she turned him down but maintained his composure. "Okay, I hope you will grant this poor man a dinner conversation next time", he said, forcing a smile. "Oh sure", Elena replied. He turned around and left. He saw Raven pass by the hallway to her office, he scoffs and looks at him in disgust. He sees Dr Malia, Elena's colleague and asks for her home address. He left and went to their house. Mrs Brianna opened the door and she was shocked at his appearance . He was very charming, handsome,had long hair, and he was well built. And his cologne filled the air with an Amber smell. On top of that he carried a box of five gifts with him.

"Hello ma'am", he said. "Hi, wow you look adorable and sweet", she said smiling. "Thanks ma'am", he replied.

Mrs Brianna is a woman in her late Fifties. She has always wanted a rich son_in_law. She never likes Raven because he's a poor farmer. "Come on in" she said gesturing. He went in and sat down. He carried all the bags and gave it to her. She was smiling happily. She opened one box, it was filled with 100% carat gold. She exclaimed, and focus her attention on Lucien. "My dear, what's your name and how may I help you", she said, holding the gold like her Life depends on it. Lucien clears his throat and adjusts himself. "My name is Lucien Kane, I am a business man and I want to marry Elena", he said. "Ever since I have set my eyes on her , I knew she's my wife", he convinced. Mrs Brianna was too happy at his words, like she could literally burst from happiness. "Of course my dear, I approve of it, you're the one my daughter is looking for", she concluded. Lucien smirked and grinned victoriously. Mrs Brianna went to the kitchen to prepare him something. He looked at his wrist and it was already late in the evening. He waited more so Elena could see him.

Elena came back and saw him on the sofa. She was surprised. Before she could ask any questions. Her mother handed her a blue box. She opened it and it was another 100% carat gold necklace . She looked at it but didn't flinch. "It's for you my dear, Lucien bought it for you", Mrs Brianna told her. Elena stood up with anger and dragged Lucien outside, she closed the door behind them.

Mrs Brianna watched them go out. "What's the meaning of this?", what do you think you're doing", Elena said angrily. Lucien steps closer to her facing her closely. "I want you Elena, my body and soul wants you, marry me let's be together forever", Lucien said, looking eagerly at her. Elena slapped him. "Who the hell do you think you're, I only know you as a patient that I treated and nothing else", she said. "I have a boyfriend and we're going to get married so get the f**k lost", she screamed. "He can't treat you right, he can't give you what you want, look your mom even approved it", he replied. "My mom did and not me, I don't like you or ever want to see you again ," she said and stormed back inside.

Lucien smirked and left. Elena went back inside and faced her mother. "Mom, why are you doing this?" You know I love Raven and he's the one I want to marry", she complained. "What's your problem?", "why do you call that fool Everytime?", can he feed you, he's just a poor farmer and he can't support you", her mother snapped back.

"Mom, you have to stop this, please stop it", Elena shouted. "Stop what huh, can't you see our condition, we're in debt and your father needs money for treatment", her mother said. "Why are you making this hard for us, all you have to do is to marry him, and all our lives will change", her mother said, forcing tears. "You don't even know him mom, I don't know him either, I just treated him When he had an accident", she replied sadly. "It doesn't matter we know him now, please my love give him a chance okay", Mrs Brianna said, and started to cry. Elena started crying too , she went inside and lay on her sick father's laps and continued weeping.
