I will come quietly part 2

I went to my room and freshened up.

After getting fresh, I and my sister Ankita both went towards Priyanshi’s room. When we reached there, we called out from outside the door—

“Is anyone at home?”

We called out like this two or three times.

After some time, the door opened and Priyanshi’s younger brother was standing there.

He looked at us a bit surprised and asked—

“Who are you people?”

Ankita smiled and said—

“I am Priyanshi’s friend. I have come from Katni. I first went to their old house, but no one was there. So I came all this way to meet her.”

The boy said—

“Okay, please come inside. Sister is cooking in the kitchen right now. I’ll go and tell her that you have come.”

Ankita immediately said—

“No! Don’t do that. Don’t tell her about me. We will go ourselves and surprise her.”

Priyanshi’s brother laughed and said—

“Okay, that’s fine. You have come from so far, and sister doesn’t even know you are here.”

Ankita said—

“Yes, exactly!”

I asked him—

“If you allow, can you tell us where the kitchen is so we can surprise Priyanshi?”

Pointing, he said—

“The room in front… that is the kitchen. She must be there.”

Slowly, I and Ankita moved towards the kitchen.

As soon as we entered, Priyanshi saw us and got shocked.

For a few moments, she kept looking at us carefully, as if she couldn’t believe we were really there.

There was surprise in her eyes and a slight happiness too…

We slowly went closer to her.

Seeing us, she got nervous and said softly—

“How did you come here? Go quickly, otherwise the family will see. Then I will get scolded.”

Ankita immediately said—

“No! We are not going. I have already told your brother that I am your friend.”

Hearing this, Priyanshi calmed down a bit and said—

“If that’s the case, then okay.”

Just then, Priyanshi’s grandmother came there.

She looked at me carefully and then asked—

“Son, are you the same one… who had picked up my cat from the road and brought it home that day?”

I smiled and said—

“Yes grandma, I am the same boy.”

Then I said—

“And this is my younger sister. She is your granddaughter’s friend. We have come here to surprise her on her birthday.”

Grandmother was a bit surprised and said—

“Oh! We even forgot that today is my granddaughter’s birthday.”

Hearing this, Priyanshi also smiled and Ankita jumped with joy.

Now the atmosphere in the house became happy…

Grandmother smilingly said—

“Today none of you will go anywhere. Today is my granddaughter’s birthday and we will celebrate it grandly.”

I hesitated a little and said—

“No grandma, we have to go back. We also need to reach home.”

Grandmother lovingly said—

“Come on, you have come from so far. You must stay here today… I swear.”

I couldn’t refuse her words.

Smiling, I said—

“Okay grandma, if you are saying, then we will stay.”

Grandmother became very happy.

Then she said to Priyanshi—

“Daughter, get ready quickly. Think about what to cook for the birthday and whom to invite.”

Then Priyanshi’s brother said—

“Grandma, we don’t really know many people here. We have just moved to this city.”

Grandmother said—

“Yes son, that’s true. First call and find out where your parents are.”

Priyanshi’s brother immediately called his father and asked—

“Dad, where are you right now?”

From the other side, his father replied—

“Son, I am on the way. I will reach home soon.”

He said—

“Okay dad, come safely.”

And he ended the call.

Then we all started decorating the house.

We inflated balloons, hung colorful garlands, and decorated the room nicely.

Slowly, half of the decoration was done.

Evening started approaching.

Around 6 PM, Priyanshi’s father returned home from the market.

He came and saw us. Then he quietly asked his daughter about us. Priyanshi told him about us.

Me and my sister Ankita both greeted him.

He talked to us kindly and asked how we came here.

Ankita said—

“We just came like that… we wanted to surprise Priyanshi. Did we do something wrong?”

Priyanshi’s father said—

“No daughter, not at all. Consider this your own home. You are like my daughter too. Come whenever you want.”

But Priyanshi didn’t know much about what we did, so she just kept agreeing with whatever we said.

The family was speaking to us very lovingly. It felt like we were not strangers but part of their own family.

After this, we continued decorating. We decorated the house beautifully. By around 8 PM, the decoration work was completed.

Then preparations for cutting the cake began.

After some time, when Priyanshi came dressed up, I just kept looking at her. For a few moments, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. I got lost in her smile.

Her smile was so beautiful that her whole face lit up, and I just kept looking at her.

Then Ankita noticed me.

She waved her hand in front of me, but I still kept looking at Priyanshi.

Then she lightly hit my hand to wake me up from my thoughts.

She hit my hand again, and only then I came back to reality.

Ankita said—

“Brother! Where were you lost? In your sister-in-law’s beauty?”

I immediately said—

“Hey crazy, stop talking!”

Then I called everyone—

“Grandma, uncle, and little brother… come here. Priyanshi is ready.”

Hearing this, everyone looked at me, wondering what I was saying. But I kept speaking in my own excitement.

Priyanshi was no less either. Seeing my craziness, she was secretly smiling and looking at me sideways.

Her sideways glance felt like it was piercing me.

Our eyes were fixed on each other.

Everyone gathered for cake cutting.

I was standing next to Priyanshi, and on the other side were her grandmother and father.

We were all so happy that we didn’t even realize how time passed.

Then Priyanshi cut the cake. The knife was in her hands, and her grandmother, father, and Ankita were standing with her.

Me and Priyanshi’s brother started bursting balloons, having fun like children.

After all this, we all sat together to eat.

Ankita and Priyanshi served the food together. They were having a lot of fun together.

If I asked for one roti, they gave me two. In the paneer curry, they kept giving me more and more paneer.

But I couldn’t even scold them.

Next to me were Priyanshi’s father, her brother, and grandmother. They were all smiling quietly seeing all this.

It was quite late at night.

When we were about to go to our room, Priyanshi quietly hid in one room. As I was passing by, she suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.

Not only that, she hugged me.

She became very emotional and romantic.

When I looked into her eyes, I also got lost for a few moments.

We were standing like that, holding each other.

Then Ankita came there. She saw us.

She quickly turned her face away and said—

“It’s night… let’s go to our rooms.”

But we were both lost in each other, so we didn’t even notice her words.

But Ankita came closer and said—

“Brother, let’s go. Will you stay like this hugging all night?”

We thought someone else was there, so we got scared and quickly separated. When we looked, it was Ankita.

Then Ankita said again—

“Go and meet tomorrow. It’s dark now. Talk in the morning.”

Priyanshi said—

“Ankita, go and sleep in your room. I will sit with your brother for a while on the balcony terrace. You go.”

Ankita jokingly said—

“I will go, but first tell me… am I not allowed to sit here?”

Priyanshi said—

“Crazy girl, go. I will tell you everything later, please.”

Ankita said—

“Okay, I’m going. You both talk.”

I said—

“Hey wait Ankita! What will I do here alone?”

Priyanshi said—

“Are you scared to talk to me alone?”

I said—

“Okay Ankita, you go.”

Ankita said—

“Alright, you both talk all night. Good night, I’m going to sleep.”

I also said to Priyanshi—

“Good night.”

And she went to sleep.
