Chapter 2Confronting

“I’m here.” I say running into the station still dragging Regina. “You can stop dragging me.” “Oh sorry” I said letting go and walking to the front desk. “Hi i’m here Officer...Crap I never got his name.” I started to panic then Regina blurted out. “Officer Kane.” I hugged her so tight. “Omg thank God you knew” “Ya I have a photographic memory” “I have bad memory lol.” “Anyway we need to see Officer Kane.” “Ok then right this way.” The secretary said walking us back to Officer Kanes office. Ï knocked on his door. “Come in.” “Yes sir” I said walking in. “Have a seat” He said pointing towards the chairs. “Yes sir.” I said sitting down in the chair next to Regina. “Ok so we got him but he’s bluntly denying everything.” “Thats f*****g bullshit I walked in on him forcing himself on her!” Regina said quickly standing up, throwing the chair back. “Miss Lynn I understand your frustration and I believe Miss Scouts trust me we got this under control now sit back down please.” “Fine.” Regina says as she pulls her seat back to where it is. “Now due to protocol you will have to talk to a detective about what happened before we can go further because we have no proof he did anything.” “Bullshit we have no proof I f*****g pulled him off!” Regina yelles. “I know I know, but all we have is your word on that and no actual proof.” Officer Kane explained. “This is bullshit.” Regina said storming out. “I’m so sorry I will be right back I’m gonna go talk to her.” I said running after Regina. I founder outside cussing to herself pacing back and forth. “Regina what was that about?” “They obviously don’t wanna help, they say this is the best they can do, but we both know that ain’t true.” “Regina I want him to get what he deserves as bad as you do, hell maybe more seems how I'm the victim here, but that can’t happen if we don’t do what they tell us to.” “Alex I just want justice. It felt nice, like I was safe again. She pulled away. “I-i’m sorry I just couldn’t help it anymore. You don’t know how hard it’s been keeping that in.” I grabbed her hand. “Actually...I do...because I love you too.” Regina smiles. “Let’s go back inside.” Regina said, grabbing my hand. We walked back into Officer Kanes office. “Officer I’m so sorry for how I acted you see I just love her so much and I just want her safe.” Regina apologizes. “I understand Miss.Scouts you’re not the first significant other to freak like that.” “Oh we’re not- or are we?” Regina looks back at me and I nod smiling. Regina blushes and smiles. “Ok nevermind.” She sits down beside me and grabs my hand. “Well I’m happy for the both of you, but can we get to the point of the meeting please ladies?” “Yes sir sorry.” “Ok now we will schedule a meeting with detective Willis for Friday next week is that ok?” “Yessir I’m perfectly happy with that sir.” “Ok then see you then you are free to go.” “Thank you sir.” I grab my stuff then grab Regina's hand and we walk out. Regina stopped as we got outside. I turned around to see why. “Why did yo-” She grabs my sides and kisses me then pulls away smiling. I smile back and grab her hand and we start walking home. We get home and I sit on the couch. “Hey baby?.” I called for Regina. “Yeah?” “Wanna watch a movie together?” “Sure I'll make popcorn.” “Yay!” I giggle and so does Regina. When the popcorn is done popping she sits down beside me and puts her arm around me and I lay my head on her shoulder. I look up at her as she puts a movie on and smile. She looks back at me. “What?” She giggles. “Oh nothing just looking at the most beautiful thing ever.” “Do I look like a mirror?” She giggles. “No cuz you are the most beautiful thing ever.” We stare at each other looking into eachothers eyes then lean in and kiss. That tiny kiss turned into something bigger and I was enjoying it, until the flashbacks started. She was kissing my neck and I freaked out. “Get off get off get off!” I repeated over and over as I pushed her off. “You ok baby?” “Y-yeah I’m gonna go ahead and go to bed.” I said shaking. “You sure?” “Y-yeah I’m sure.” “Ok then I’ll be there when the movie’s over.” ‘Ok love you.” “Love you too.” I go to my bedroom to try and go to bed. I lay on the bed and start to close my eyes, but the moment I close my eyes all I see is him forcing himself on top of me. I quickly sit up shaking really bad bawling. I tried to scream for Regina but nothing came out. I couldn’t make a sound. I didn’t want to move. My mind started racing. I couldn’t handle the pain anymore. I ran to the bathroom and went through the cabinets and grabbed all my pills and took them at once. I started feeling weird then blacked out. Regina heard a thud and ran to the bathroom and when she found me she freaked out. “ Baby!” She quickly grabbed her phone and called 911. “911 whats your emergency” “Uh yes my name is Regina Scouts and I think my girlfriend tried overdosing I don’t know, all I know is I heard a thud and she was unconscious.” “Ok Ma’am what’s her name?” “Her name is Alex Lynn.” “Ok how long has she been unconscious?” “I don’t know not long.” “Ok well stay with her and an ambulance will be on its way. What's your address?” “My address is 475 Hartland Road.” “Ok leave your front door unlocked and your front porch light on and stay with her.” “Ok.” She lays the phone by her not hanging up and grabs me holding me crying. “Baby why? Please don’t leave me.” about 10 min later an ambulance arrives and rushes me to the hospital. They had Regina stay out in the waiting room. An hour went by and she started to worry more and more then the doctor came out. “Oh thank God is she ok?” “She’s fine now. We had to pump her stomach and she is still asleep, but she should be ok.” “Thank God! Can I go see her?” “Yes right this way.” The doctor led her to my room and she ran to my bed and grabbed my hand. “Baby why would you do this to yourself? Why would you try and leave me?” She asked, crying. “Baby?” I said as I woke up. “Oh my God baby!” She clung to me crying. “Ow ow ow.” “Oh sorry.” “It’s fine.” “Now baby...why?” “Because when we had our little moment I started having flashbacks...and when I tried sleeping it just played over and over in my head I couldn’t take the pain anymore.” “Baby you should have told me. We are in this together.” “I know I’m sorry, I didn’t want to worry you, but in doing so I did.” “It’s ok baby just next time talk to me instead of trying to go to bed.” “Ok baby I’m sorry.” She cradles my cheek in her hand rubbing it with her thumb. “It’s ok baby, just know I’m here for you.” “I know baby.” She leans down and kisses me and I kiss back when the doctor walks in. “Oh am I interrupting something?” “No you’re fine.” Regina chuckles. “Ok then. So Miss. Lynn you almost didn’t make it, but luckily our team saved you. We are gonna keep you here for the weekend just to look after you and get you rehabilitated.” “Wait but I have to meet with a detective on Monday. Will I be out by then?” “I don’t know and if not we can have them come by here and talk here.” “Ok that would be fine then.” I said rolling over on my side. “Thank you Doc I appreciate everything you have done.” Regina said, placing her hand on my cheek. :No problem we will keep you updated.” The doctor said walking out. I looked up at Regina and to see the pain in her eyes hurt me. I never meant to hurt her all I saw was my own pain and misery, I didn’t think about what it would do to her. “I love you.” I said quietly, but loud enough for her to hear me. “I love you too, just promise me from now on you will come to me.” “I promise.” “Good. Now you need sleep so sleep baby i’ll be sitting over here on the couch.” She said walking to the couch. “Ok baby wake me up at lunch time please.” She chuckled. “I will baby.” I smiled then started to doze off and when I woke up I heard arguing.”I don’t care if you think it’s wrong mom I love her and that’s final.” “A woman should not be a woman, a woman should be with a man and get married and have kids. He was a drunk and took his anger out on me and my mom so we were never close.” “Baby I’m so so sorry. I promise nothing like that is going to happen to you ever again.” She clung to me and I clung to her tearing up. “We're in this together baby, we got this,” She said kissing my head. “I love you so much baby.” I said tearing up. “I love you too baby.” I continued to tear up till I started to bawl. “Hey hey hey. What's wrong baby.” “Nothing.” I said, still crying. “Baby come on tell me.” “I wish I had a better relationship with my dad.” I started crying more. Regina lifted my head and looked into my eyes. “Your dad was a homophobic b***h who for all I care can burn in hell. He doesn’t deserve your love and you are perfect the way you are. I’m sorry if I overstepped, but I speak the truth. You deserved a better childhood and you deserve a better life, and I hope I can give that to you." She kisses my forehead and starts to get up. "I'm going to go get something to eat, want anything?" She asked getting her coat. "Nah I'll just order something when it's meal time. I'm not that hungry anymore." "Ok love you I'll be back in a bit." She blew me a kiss then left the room. DING "Oh who could that be?" I check my phone and it's a text from Jake. "Hey hot stuff not nice of you to turn me on like that." When I read it I freaked out. "What the f**k do you want?" "Nothing can I not just text you?" "Not after the s**t you pulled. You have some f*****g nerve to text me again. You broke me, you hurt me, I can't sleep at night due to what you did to me. You can burn in hell for all I care. Goodbye and never contact me again." I pressed send then blocked his number and threw my phone as Regina walked in. "Woah what's going on are you ok?" I started to panic. "No...he texted me." She pulled me close and held me. "I'm so sorry baby I'm so so sorry." "I'm just gonna go to sleep and nap. I love you." "Love you too."
