Kips Point of view
‘So... What do we do now?’ It was Benny who spoke first. I couldn’t move or speak. I just stayed on the spot... Watching the distance where Emma’s family car vanished to. She was really gone. Some small, stupid part of me thought that I’d convince her not to go, or her parents would change their mind.
But no. She … she was just gone.
Some one shushed Benny and every one went quiet again. I could feel their eyes on me. I blinked away the tears before turning around and facing my friends.
‘Now we go in side and drink ourselves into oblivion’. I told them, walking past them and up Benny’s drive way. I could hear them talking in hushed tones, but i didn’t care.
A few hours went by in what seemed like a flash. The mountains of bottles and beer can
