CHAPTER FIVE
Alexander Knight stood up, smiling affably, as Major Frank Carter, head of V.I.S. and Colonel Douglas Sherwin, in charge of V.I.6 entered his office. None of the nervousness he felt about the meeting showed on his face. As soon as they were seated Frank Carter spoke up.
"What the hell has been happening in Hong Kong, Knight? We've had reports that one of your men, Lieutenant Edwin Mc Cullough, has disappeared in Hong Kong. Just what is going on there? Considering our three departments are supposed to be coordinated, Sherwin here, and myself, appear to be abysmally ignorant on the subject."
