Chapter 7 - Reflections

Alone in her bedroom, Mary sat on the edge of the bed, her mind reeling from the revelation Martaugh had just delivered. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she tried to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions churning within her.

Mary: (whispering to herself) How could he do this to me? To us?
