Working With Alfonso

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Aurora (POV)

I blinked several times to make sure that what am seeing is not a figment of my imagination.

The little boy turned to Alfonso and started speaking with him in greek.

Not knowing what there talked about, I stood there awkwardly looking else were.

The exact moment I looked at there direction, I was greeted with two identical eyes making me almost stumbling backward.

"Mhmm....can we eat now, its just too awkward with the silence"I said.

I didn't wait for there reply, I simply dived into my sit and welcomed the sweet aroma of bacon, toast and egg.

Normally, when am eating with others I wait until we start together, but with my present situation I rather eat than talk.

I ate until I couldn't eat anymore, the food prepared today was excess..hmm...more for me.

When I took the juice to watch down my food, the voice of the kid spoke across were I sat.

"Miss you eat a lot"I snapped my head to his direction.

Which made Mr Andino to laugh at that.

I cleared my throat and smiled to the kid.

"I need my strength bambino" I stated.

"Why do you need your strength?" Again he spoke.

I laughed a little, "I need all the strength for my work".

He grimaced at me.

Please kid, stop with the question. Don't even dare ask me any more questions again.

"Your work as in.....".

"PA darling...I work has a personal ass......"he interrupted with a flink of his little fingers.

"I know what PA stands for"he frowned.

With that I kept quiet, the little boss or master has I heard he was been called the other day has spoken.

Completely satisfied with my morning breakfast, I turned to the quiet Alfonso. He hasn't spoken much since I came down for breakfast.

"Alfonso"I called out.

He looked away from his food and to me.

I didn't say a word because my attention was on his hands which held the spoon.

He seemed really disturbed by something, playing with his food isn't like him. Something is definitely wrong.

"When can I leave?" I needed my answers because for two reasons.

I need to escape him and go back to work, i've about two weeks before the two months will run out. Secondly, Casey will surely go crazy, well she already is, since I haven't called her to notify her about my where about.

She isn't going to forgive me for this.

"You know what I need a phone ASAP to call my friend"I requested.

"No need for that"he simply said.

"Why?".

"Cara mia, am not that kind of person that wouldn't inform friends or family before taking there beloved ones.....I do know you have a room mate, I informed her about you being with me"he shrugged.

I sighed in relief and thankful for his thoughtfulness. You see casey may be strong from the outside but she isn't within.

She has a very weak heart, which makes me scared sometimes about her well being.

The time she broke up with Ethan, I used those encouraged words to make her see she's worthy in every way. She's the sweetest and I will be damned to allow any pigs make her shed tears again.

"Well thanks but still I need to talk to her"I demanded.

He stared at me for a while and called out someone's name and in came the woman I meant earlier.

"Bring miss Aurora bag from my office"he said.

She gave a curt nod and went through the hallway to the office.

Wait a minute!, did he just say my bag.

I wanted to retort back at him when the little kid spoke to him and when he nodded like a go ahead.

He pushed his chair back and climbed down from the chair.

Immediately two women came to his side which made me raise my brows in confusion.

Before they exit from the dining room, he turned to me and gave me a wink.

I had to blink again and stared at him but he already left with the women following behind like ladies in waiting.

This made me questions more about him, yes he has Mr Andino eyes, nose, mouth, everything but he could be his brother or his brother child.

Sometimes nephews or nieces tend to look like other family members rather than there parents.

"Alfonso I don't mean to pry but who is that kid"I asked with curiosity.

He looked at me with a glare making me flinch but that glare turned to a grin.

"You already started prying up in your pretty head the moment you heard little master Aurora".

I smiled a little and I gave him a go ahead to continue.

"The kid is my son, miss Aurora"he confessed.

Alfonso(POV)

I strolled to the room which Aetos was situated in.

After my conversation with Aurora yesterday, I couldn't meet him knowing full well that it was past bed time.

Opening the door to the room I was greeted with an empty room.

I quickly checked the bathroom to see if he's there but still the same.

"Were did he go"I thought.

I went to the living room and saw him sitting on the couch with his legs cross reading some newspaper.

"Aetos"I called his name with my deep voice.

He looked up at me and then back to what he was reading.

He knows full well that I don't appreciate that attitude but I won't blame him in any way. I was ones like him but not to this extent of ignoring my parents.

"Έχετε Ουέρε του ΩΧέν η αρριβες?" he asked without looking my way.

(Where were you when I arrived?)

"Aetos you know I'd be busy"I replied.

"Μπούσυ Γουίτη Ουάτ." he questioned arrogantly.

(Busy with what.)

"Forget about that"I said.

"Ουάι δις η Χέαρ του δις βάκ υν Αθενς?"I frowned.

( What did I hear you did back in Athens)

"Δάντ, can you please leave me alone"he discarded.

(Dad).

"You don't tell me what to do Young Man, your actions are getting unbearable, Bambino" I said clearly.

(Child).

"Papa my actions today is your fault"he hastily remarked.

"My fault in what way?".

"If you didn't neglect me through the period μαμά died, I wouldn't have turned this way"he harshly spoke with a hint of tears from his eyes.

(Mama).

Sometimes I wonder if he just six years old but if I should say in this matter...I am at fault.

The period Ludovica died I was like a walking dead, neglecting my three years old son wasn't ideal.

I and Ludovica got married privately with just both families.

We meant during a meeting with the Duke and it was love at first sight.

We dated secretly for six months without the knowledge of our parents but it came to a point she became pregnant. We couldn't keep the pregnancy a secret so we didn't have a choice but to speak out.

Although there was a big argument but since my dad and the Duke were one's good friend they let go. Knowing full well I loved her with all my heart.

She gave birth to our little Aetos, our future Duke.

Since she didn't have a male siblings only two sisters, our son was to take the title when her φαθερ was to step down.

(Father).

Her death was very mysterious and up till now we still tried to figure out what was the curse.

She looked okay when we spend the day with our little boy but when I woke up to give her a kiss, her beautiful face lost all colour but was white has sheet, with pale lips.

That period wasn't easy at all.... waking up to next to the love of your life to give her a morning kiss but to find out she took her last breath when we slept.

I didn't go anywhere for a year. I only stayed in our bedroom or to my study to at least take my mind off things.

All this and I forgot I had a son who needed me. The Duke took him for a while saying he wanted to be with him during this period he lost his first child.

But it seems Aetos wasn't ready to leave him either, so he spent the next three years with my late wife family.

My parents always visit him three times a week.

But I didn't go, it's just recently he decided he wanted to be with his dad, and we can't have father and son bonding in Greece, so the reason he's here with me.

"Am sorry Aetos, can we just start over. I know I wasn't there for you but I've come in terms to let go of the past and face the future and that future is you son"I walked to him and squatted in front of him.

Releasing his hands from the newspaper, and held firm to it.

"What do you say?" I couldn't stay strong anymore and shed a little tears.

He had tears stain on his face and I wiped it away. He hugged me and I kissed his hair.

"Promise me you won't leave me again δαντ."he sniffed and looked at me.

(Dad).

"I promise".

He kissed my cheeks and smiled at me, and I promised myself that i'll only see smile on his face and nothing else.

"So care to tell me what you did to Elena" I asked.

"She deserve it papa, she talks a lot and I don't like her heavy makeup and perfume"he bellowed.

I chuckled at that. He decided it was a good thing to drop laxative in her wine. Which made me wonder were he got it from.

"Dad Elena isn't friendly and I don't like her"he confessed.

I knitted my brows In confusion. Elena is Ludovica second sister.

I do know she's nice and friendly, which makes me wonder why he's saying the opposite of what she's.

I was about to ask him why he doesn't like her, when cara came in.

"Alfonso you guys food are served, come eat" Aetos ran to her and I quietly followed behind.

We sat on the table and I told cara to call Aurora.

"Who we waiting for dad" Aetos asked .

"You will see".

He nodded and we waited about ten minutes before for she came in.

She looked at us with confusion and then Aetos spoke.

"Έχω εις σε? he asked.

(Who is she?).

She looked at us with strange look.

"Dad she's beautiful"he winked at me.

I smiled and appreciate that he also saw what am seeing.

She sat on the table and ate her food, until Aetos started asking her questions which I saw was making her uncomfortable.

She asked me to give her, her phone and I called on cara to bring it for me.

"Δας η Βάνα γο Μπάκ το μυ ροομ). he asked.

(Dad I wanna go back to my room)

I nodded seeing he has finished his food. Immediately his two nannies came to escort him to his room.

Before he left I saw him giving Aurora a wink and that made me smile.

"He takes after me in all ways"I thought.

Clearly my parents did lie when they said he possesses the same characteristics I had has a child.

"Alfonso I don't mean to pry, but is that your kid?"she questioned.

She's always curious about things.

"The kid is my son Aurora"I replied honestly.

"And that information can't leave this building to the company or your apartment, understood?"I asked.

She nodded.

I don't want the paparazzi to find out and disturb his quiet life. His birth and everything has been kept a secret and it will remain a secret untill I decide to show him to the world.

He's still little and he needs not to undergo stress.

Cara came in with her bag and she thanked her.

" I didn't know you were married"she asked suddenly.

"Another story for another day"I replied.

I don't know but I feel she's different and she's the right person to Break every form of resentfulness I possess.

I became bitter since my lovely wifes death and recently began to see glims of light through the darkness I uphold.

It seems meeting Aurora back in my hotel wasn't a coincidence but faith. She could be the fire that could melt my frozen heart....but she has already started doing so.

Haven't not allowed any one into my heart after ludovica but I see Aurora doing the job without stress.

I looked at her and she smiled at me has she spoke with her friend on the phone.

"I won't let you go Aurora"I thought.

"I'll be sure to protect you and hold you close to me with all I have"I promised myself.
