CHAPTER SIX

Aurora (POV)

I stopped at the office door of Mrs Katherine and hesitated to knock.

I don't know why am suddenly been called upon.

What if she knows something, or what if she knows I was there that day.

No,no its been up to a week now, there is no way it's because of that.

I really try avoid anything related to her and its getting alarming with her always needing me.

The rest workers are seeing or been suspicious that am very friendly with her in other to gain favor.

All this continued roaming in my head and I forgot I still stood in front of her door.

I was revived from my daydream when I heard her voice.

"Are you gonna stand there all day miss Aurora"she yelled.

I got startled and opened the door quietly, entering inside and closing it.

She sat on her swivel chair with her concentration on the pile of papers on her desk.

"Please take a seat"she demanded.

I complied and sat on one of the two chairs opposite hers.

She didn't say a word for five minutes, which was getting irritating and annoying.

If she called me here to look or admire her face, she got another thing coming.

"Seriously woman I still have an unfinished work"I yelled inwardly.

She looked at me and removed her medicated eye glass.

"Aurora the reason I called you here is for a great promotion which has came from above"she said.

I unknownly looked at the ceiling of her office and looked back at her with a confused look.

"Above mean the head office—from the CEO"she stated.

I felt ringing in my ear drum.

I think I did not hear her clearly, because it seems she mentioned CEO.

There are different CEO right...no wait  I hope she doesn't mean......

"Mr Andino"she confirmed my suspicious.

Everything zoomed making the whole room tight for me, I felt very faint.

"Mr...Mr An...Andino".I stuttered.

She nodded.

"But why?"I questioned curiously.

"I received a call this morning from him and apparently he will need a PA, since he will be around for the next two months"she said.

I looked at her bewildered..or is this a dream. I pinched my upper palm and winced when I felt pain.

This is definitely not a dream, I am done for.

It was just yesterday that I vowed not to cross path with him, but now am stuck and won't know if I'll make it out of the lions den.

Of all people, why did he choose me?.

I don't know him and haven't seen him before.

I closed my eyes tightly and almost burst out in tears. 

"Aurora are you okay?"she asked.

I opened my eyes and forces a smile.

I nodded,because if I should talk I might just explode in tears.

"Well this is a great opportunity and its ones in a life time opportunity....don't waste it with your silliness or flirting habit"she condemn.

Did she just say that.....when do I flirt.

"Excuse me"I asked, still shocked by her revelation.

"You're excused.....Mr Andino is an influential and powerful man, and not to talk about is handsomeness"she said.

"Have seen him before during a meeting in Greek, and since he will show his face soon to the public he will have different admirer and am hoping you won't be one of them and you will focus on your job"she said.

All this made my blood boiled than a fiery sea.

"Mam I'll watch my tone if I were you"I stood up from my chair aggressively.

"What did you say"she took stood up looking angry.

"I said watch the way you speak to me"I still dare say it to her face, even if it cause me my job.

"You're in need of punishment and that punishment will be losing your job......you aren't fit to work for him, I will call him right now and report your behavior"she said and picked up her phone and called him.

With her behavior she is jealous or angry that am working with maybe....her crush.

She definitely crushing on him and isn't happy with my promotion since I just started recently.

I crossed my hand and looked at her with a raised eyebrows.

I too don't wanna work with him and if she report me then that means bye bye from by job and welcome joblessness.

I was about to stop her from calling him and it seems am too late.

I heard all the conversation since her phone volume is loud enough to hear.

And surprisingly he didn't pay yield to her complain and cut the call on her.

She looked at me fuming with so much anger and hatred.

"Do you think I'll make you work with him, I'll surely look for a way to sack your butt, I don't know how you did it but you won't be working for him."she yelled.

I didn't even flinch and gave her one of my evil smirk.

I gracefully sat back in my chair and crossed my legs.

"Tsk...tsk...you can't fire me Mrs Katherine"I said softly.

She looked at me as if I've known two head.

"What do you mean I can't fire you...am your boss and when you leave here I can explain to Mr Andino you aren't fit and then recommend him someone better"she smirked my way.

I just gave a short laugh and smiled.

"Aurora you are really risky your job.

You don't really have the right to talk to the person that employed you anyhow"I said to myself.

"Mrs Katherine if I go down your butt is following me"I said.

She gave me a glare and was about to speak when I interrupted.

"You know what, since we're going back and front....why don't I show you an interesting movie and wow your mind or is it blow your mind."I said and fetched out my Android phone.

I opened it and played the video and faced it to her face.

I saw her open her eyes wide and it was worth watching.

"How did you get that"she asked, a little bit shaky with her voice.

"Well since you asked I will tell you, I simply video you guys when I came to submit my design".

"You dare video us, you really have no shame"she shouted.

I had to close my ear because of her high voice.

"And you dare have an affair with a married man.....it seems you gonna be trending very soon on social media, when I post this content"I said.

"Mr Andino will not be pleased to see this and will fire you...poff and you will be jobless"I said.

"What do you want money or...."she started speaking.

I interrupted her because I felt offended but her bribe.

"Do you think am that cheap to take your money....I have standard and dignity"I yelled.

"The only thing l want is for you to stop harassing we workers and stop your affair with Mr Eugene....you're gonna break a home....you have broken it when you decided to have an affair."I said.

"If you don't do that I will gladly link this video and when your lover wife see this, you will be humiliated and be sacked by the big boss himself"I carefully threatened her.

She nodded and I smiled at that.

"Now continue your work and leave a good life and avoid married men....if I see you guys together again I won't think twice to bring you down"I uttered.

"Is that clear enough"I asked.

"Crystal"she simply said.

I nod and went out if the office but not before giving her a wink.

Seriously we are the same age, I don't need to give her respect. What a shameless homewrecker.

I closed the door firmly and rested my back to the door.

My mind went back to the job opportunity and that made me vexed.

I did not qualify to be a common PA, my CV clearly stated am a graduate and a PhD degree of electronic engineer.

But that stupid Me Andino decided to choose me and that is given me a chill.

Of all people he chose me.

Well am just glad its just for two months and then back to my normal job.

Whoever he's, he should know he has invited a lioness to his den and this lioness isn't friendly at all, so if he does anything to bring my self esteem down he will get it.

Well let me hope that all goes well.
