We arrived at the restaurant at the same time as Mel. I waved from our car over to her and she came over. I laughed a little, noticing that she was wearing a pink sun dress. I walked the rest of the distance and gave her a hug.
I pulled back and looked at her up and down. “You look really cute with your hair done, little make-up and dress on.”
“I thought if I dressed nicely maybe mom wouldn’t be too bad. I guess you had the same thought?”
“I let Amber and Jazz dress me and doll me up.” I told her, laughing a little.
“Ah.” She said in understanding. “I texted mom and dad that we were here. Dad’s here. Mom is running late like usual.”
