Lil's POV
I walked into the kitchen and saw pots, plates and bowls all full of food.
“WOW! This is a lot of food. Did you do all of this by yourself?” I asked Ms. Sally.
“Oh, this is nothing and I made some of it. The other dishes and items came from neighbors, family and friends.” She told me.
“That’s nice that people brought things over. Though why did they?”
“Well…” She said nervously.
I looked at Tina and Jazz, who were both smiling and making plates for themselves, then walked to the dining room to eat. Ms. Sally started to make a plate with shaky hands.
“Ms. Sally, why do you seem so nervous?”
She ignored my question and held the plate she was making out to me. “Here dear you need to eat some food. You can join Tina and Jasmine in the dining room.”
