Lil's POV
I could hear a beeping sound close by. I opened my eyes only to immediately close them from the bright lights. I tried to open them but this time slowly, so my eyes could adjust to the lights. Once my eyes were fully open, I looked around to find I was in a hospital bed and the beeping was the monitor I was hooked up to. I looked to the left of me where I could see an IV drip and also see my sister curled up in the chair close to my bed. I tried to talk, but only muffled noise came out due to my mouth being super dry. I saw Mel stir and open her eyes.
“Sis?” She asked. She paused to see if I was truly awake or not. Once it registered that I was looking at her awake, she shot up from the chair. “Sis, thank GOD you are okay. I was so worried,” she said, on the brink of tears. Sh
