CH. 21- Meet The Exchange Hunters

The tanned boy bump into Clint and Marcus. The tanned boy turned around to ask forgiveness from the strangers. However, when he was about to say his apology, Clint spoke.

“You are Lorenzo Rizal. I thought you are a Filipino, but you sure don't sound one.”

The tanned boy scratched his cheeks with his finger before replying. “Well, it's complicated. My mother is Indonesian, while my father is Filipino. So I am half of both races. But I lived in Indonesia since my father immigrated there.”

“I see. Then where's your companion? The European exchange boy.”

Lorenzo pointed at the caucasian boy starting at the window. Clint walked towards the boy and greeted him.

“Hi there, I'm Clint, the guy who will be picking you up. I'm also going to be your guide. While you are in the exchange program of the Hunter organization.”

“Enough with the introduction! Bring me to a place where there is a high movement of monsters. I will destroy all of them until all of them goes extinct.”

“Woah! Chill kid, I know you are excited to go killing monsters. But we still have to go with the orientation. Also, don't you wanna have some time to meet your allies?”

The caucasian boy answered Clint, “Fine, but they should remember not to be a liability to me. Or getting in my way when I am monster slaying.”

“Your quite the aggressive boy, aren't you? Also, what's your name.”

The boy looked at Clint and replied, “Blitz Helsing.”

After that, the caucasian boy then grabbed his bag and looked at Marcus. Whom smiled at him, but Blitz felt the fear building up inside Marcus.

Blitz spoke to Marcus, warning him, “you're pretty weak! I will tell you this since I don't particularly appreciate repeating myself. Don't drag me down when I'm slaying monsters.”

After that, the Blitz then looked at Lorenzo and spoke, “that includes you!”

Lorenzo then let out a sigh after hearing Blitz and replied, “ok.”

The four then went to the car, and all of them were silent as they travel through the road. Marcus was even scared of Blitz, who looked at him like he's prepared to kill. Marcus just ignored Blitz and focused his eyes on the road.

After thirty minutes of silence in the car, Marcus, seated in the front, looked at the window and yelled.

“Ahhhh! It's my house!”

Clint then grabbed Marcus on his shoulder and gazed straight into his eyes. When he got Marcus's attention, Clint spoke, “I forgot to mention that the company has finished the ongoing repairs of your house were done.”

“And the organization told me to let these two live with you. While they are staying here in America.”

Marcus was completely pale after hearing Clint that he even thought he heard him wrong. That caused him to ask Clint, “Excuse me, but what did you just say again?”

“Marcus, these two are going to live with you!” Clint, this time, screamed in Marcus's ear.

After hearing Clint, I thought that it was the end of my peaceful life. But I will not allow this; I still have contact with my grandpa if I tell him that some strangers are staying.

“Oh! Your grandpa also knows about this, Marcus. He even left you a letter. Why don't you ready it.” After saying that, Clint passed a paper to Marcus.

Marcus immediately reads the paper. His eyes were so glued on it that he almost sticks his face into the piece of paper. Marcus re-reads the article again before being grabbed by Clint in the shoulder again.

“It's ok, Marcus, so get along with them. Now get out of the car and show them around.”

After that, Marcus and the two exchange hunters got kicked out of the car. Clint immediately left the three upon dropping them. Marcus had a grim look on his face as Clint left him with the two strangers he just met. The strangers who will be staying with him at his house.

Realizing that he can't do anything, Marcus turns to the two. And tried to smile as he spoke, “well, what are we gonna do?”

Thirty minutes passed the two entered my house. I showed them to their respective rooms. I thought that the letter grandpa gave me was fake. However, a voice recording on the telephone got recorded. The recording belongs to grandpa, who confirmed that these two exchange hunters would be staying.

However, Grandpa seemed to not know about these two. He just called them exchange students from overseas that will be studying here. He also asked me to befriend them and be nice to them.

It looks like I can't escape my fate with these two. And our first night together living in a single house will be awkward.

When the night arrived, I was cooking dinner for the strangers living in my house. Then suddenly my phone rang, not the phone that the organization gave me. It was my original phone; I answered it, and the number belonged to our school Principal.

“Hello, ma'am, may I help you?”

Phone: “Marcus Scott, I heard that two exchange students are already at your house. I also heard that they would be staying for the duration of the program. Suppose you're wondering why I am calling. I just wanted to remind you that the three of you will go to school tomorrow.”

“Also, Marcus, I will ask you to guide them to the school tomorrow. Help them understand the lesson that your school has given you.”

After hearing the Principal on the Phone, Marcus suddenly remembered his homework. The homework is given to him when he was not staying at school after the slit-faced woman incident. The organization called a chemical leak to cover the paranormal activities that were happening in the school.

Marcus served dinner to the two exchange hunters entirely gloomy. After remembering his homework was unfinished.

When the Indonesian boy tasted the food that Marcus served, he spits out the food. And yelled, “It's SALTY!”

Even that Marcus still cannot believe that in one day, many unexpected things would be happening.

At an old mansion hidden in the middle of a dead forest, the masked man that Marcus and Clint meet follows the seductive woman in the halls of this eerie mansion. The mansion where the leader of a secret organization led by a person named Vlad.
