Chapter Four We Need To Talk “John, we need to talk.” “About what, Janet?” I asked stupidly. “I want you to do something for me,” she said. “Do something for you?” “Yes,” she said, pulling a small box from her purse. “I want you to wear this.” She laid the box in front of me and looked expectant. “Is this a present for me?” I asked. “Sort of,” she laughed. “What is it?” I asked. “Open it and you’ll see,” she giggled.
