Chapter Thirteen New Confessions Daniel found Lisle in their room, sitting on the floor, drawing in her sketchbook. Her attention was so riveted on the drawing that she hadn’t noticed he was standing by the bed. “You going to let me see what you’re drawing?” he asked. She looked up dazed. “Sorry, sir.” “The drawing? You going to let me see it?” She stared at him blankly, pushing the tablet deeper into her lap. “Well, yeah, I guess. If you insist,” she said with some reluctance. She may have agreed but as she spoke she only pushed the tablet deeper into her lap. Still intensely protective of her miniature art, she clung to it so tightly that Daniel had to smile.
