Chapter 17Broadway, One Year Later
It had been a momentous year. Jake was living a life he never could have imagined. While he wasn’t a big name yet, there’d been some press interviews, even a couple of talk show appearances with Wyatt. It was difficult appearing in six shows a week with no time off, but he loved what he was doing. He was never free to see Jerry in Washington, but Jerry visited him often. On many occasions he made sure he was evaluating a show not far from New York so the two could be together on the weekend. Jerry had also found him an apartment in the city, a place owned by a friend who was currently appearing onstage in the West End in London. Everything had come together perfectly.
