My Wish

Chapter 3

I am still sitting in the window seat and I’m fast asleep as the sun starts to come up. I start to move a bit

trying to hide from the sun, but I forgot that I was sitting in the window seat all night. I fell out of the

window seat with a thud “OWWW DANG IT!!” I yelled and I was wide awake now that I fell into the

floor. My mom and dad ran into my room and looked at me as I sat in the floor “What are you doing

over there and not in bed?” Mom asked me as she walked over to me “I woke up in the night and

wanted to here, than I fell asleep.” I said to her and it was half of the truth, I wasn’t going to tell them

that I got pissed off at Marcus and he is the reason I was sitting over there. Dad looked at me as if he

could tell something else was up but he just shrugged his shoulders “Are you alright?” He asked me as

mom helped me out of the floor, I smiled at him “Yep, I’m fine.” I said to him smiling, him and mom

nodded to me “Okay then dear.” Mom said and they walked out of the room, I was glad that they left

my room, my shut the door behind them. I looked up at the sun and groaned as I got up from the floor.

Once I got up from the floor I walked to my closet and got some cloths together for the day, my outfit

consists of a navy t-shirt, an button up black flannel shirt, blue jeans that had been cut in places and my

black combo boots, and of course my underwear, I lay all of my cloths on my bed and then I walk into

my bathroom. I get my water to a temp that that I like it and I step and take myself a shower and then

when I get out I dry myself off and dry my hair and then walk into my bedroom and get dressed, once

I’m dressed I brush my hair and then pull it back into a ponytail.

Once I’m dressed and ready for the day, I gather my things and put them all in my back pack. I grab my

phone and put it in my jean pocket, than I pick up my back pack and walk out of my room shutting the

door behind me. I walk into the kitchen and set my back pack in a chair. I walk over to the refrigerator

and opened the door; I get out the eggs, bacon, and few other things, than I walked over to the cabinet

and get out the bread and bagels, and I set all the stuff on the counter. Then I get the pans and the

toaster, and start to fix the breakfast for the family and I also fixed mine and mom something for lunch. I

started to hum a song as I fixed breakfast and I was thinking of another amazing dream I had after I fall

asleep against the window. “Someone is in a good mood now” My dad causing me comes back to reality

and I burn my finger. “OWW that really hurt” I said as I went to the sink to run some cold water over my

finger that I burnt. “Sorry dear, it’s just that you are humming and you only do that when you are in a

good mood, your mom does the same thing.” Dad said to me and I looked at him “I had two good

dreams last night dad.” I said to him smiling “Any of them about Marcus?” He asked and my smile fell

and I frowned “Heck no, he is a jerk.” I said in an unset voice as I started to go back to work on the

breakfast. Mom walked into the kitchen and helped me plate the food; I had coffee going so I also fixed

three cups of it. “Bad night dear” Mom ask me as she noticed that I fixed myself a cup of coffee “It was a

long one mom.” I said to her as we took the food and coffee to the table. The three of us sat down at

the table and we started to eat our breakfast in silence which was kind of nice. I yawned as I ate

breakfast ‘I hope this coffee kicks in soon’ I thought to myself as I got done eating. Once I was done I

took my plate to sink, I let out a sigh ‘My ass still hurts so I hope that son of a b***h doesn’t touch my ass

because if he does, he is going to be in huge trouble.’ I thought to myself “I’ll wash the dishes my lovely

ladies.” My dad said to me and mom after they got done eating “Thanks dear.” Mom said as she got up

from the table and walked over to dad and kissed him on the lips, I smiled at them ‘They are my idea of

a couple’ I thought to myself “What are you looking sweetie?” Dad asked me “I was just watching you

and mom, you both are the idea of the perfect couple to me.” I said to him smiling and mom blushed at

that “Thanks dear.” They said to me smiling, than I walked over to dad and kissed his cheek and gave

him a hug. Mom and I said our see you laters to dad as we walked out the door, we walked to her

impala and got inside and she started it up and left for school.

Mom and I didn’t talk much in the mornings on the way to school, so this morning was good that we

didn’t because I was not in the talking mood at the moment since there were things going through my

mind. ‘I am going to dump Marcus today; I am not backing down from it. Diana and Kat can have him.’ I

thought to myself as I looked out the window and let out a small sigh “Okay spill it girl.” My mom said to

me and I looked over at her “I’m going to dump Marcus today, tell Diana and Kat that I don’t want to be

friends with them anymore.” I said to her and she looked over at me “I Marcus has done you wrong on

more than one time, so you can did your work in the library today.” She said to me “Thanks mom.” I said

smiling to her, she had heard some of mine and Marcus’ conversations over the past two years, and she

knew that he didn’t treat me right “You will find your prince someday.” She to me as she pulled into the

parking lot of the school “If I do, I hope he doesn’t cheat on me.” I said to her as she pulled into a

parking spot and turned off the engine of the car, and we got out. We got of the car and got our things

“Here take this.” Mom said handing me note and a sheet of paper with a list of class work, I took it from

her and smiled “Thanks mom.” I said to her “Your welcome sweetie” She said to me smiling as we went

our own ways.

I walked into the school and went to my locker and took out all of my books, I was planning on doing my

all of my book work in the library, so I wouldn’t have to deal with Marcus, Diana or Kat today, but I knew

I had to go to my first class, so after I got the books out of my locker I closed the locker up and started to

walk too my first class which was math, I was not going to wait on my Marcus, Diana or Kat to join me.

‘Did you see the star quarterback and head cheerleader making out this morning at the bus ramp?’

someone said to their friend and I knew they was talking about Marcus and Diana ‘Yep I am dumping his

ass for sure now.’ I thought to myself as I walked into math class and took my seat in the very back next

to the window, I’ve been thinking a lot to myself lately but that is okay. I took my math book and note

pad out of my back pack and hung it on the back of my seat, and then I propped my arm up on my desk

and looked out the window, other students started coming into the classroom and they was talking

about Marcus and Diana, I heard a few of the girls that Diana was better for Marcus, and I acted as if I

didn’t hear them. I looked over at the door and saw that Marcus and Diana came into the classroom

holding hands; I rolled my eyes at them as I looked back out the window. Soon I heard someone sit

down in the seat in front of me and then a giggling sound “Marcus and Diana the new couple in school.”

I said a pissed off voice “Why thank you.” Diana said and I looked at her and at Marcus “Marcus we was

never a thing, and you know that.” I said to him “Of course I know that, I just wanted to see if the

rumors were true about you Ruby.” He said to me and I groaned at him “Those are bull s**t rumors and

you wanted to know if any of them was true, you make me sick.” I said to him “I never loved you and

you know that.” He said to me as he held onto Diana, I couldn’t be the same room as the two of them as

I put my text book and note book back into my back pack, and walk up to the teacher who has heard

everything and she looks at me “May I do my work in the library, Mrs. Ray?” I asked her and she put a

hand on my shoulder “Of course you can Ruby, just give me a moment.” She said and I nodded to her,

she fixed up a note saying I could study in the library and she gave me a list of what she was going to go

over, she handed it to me “Thanks a lot.” I said to her and maid myself smile “Your welcome dear, I hope

it gets better for you.” She says to me, I thank her once again and then walk out of the classroom. ‘I

don’t want to see them in History, English, or Creative Writing; thank goodness I didn’t have them in my

art class. My history and english teachers had a planning this morning so I walked to their offices and ask

them if I could work in the library, after I told them about the morning between myself, Marcus and

Diana, both of them told me that I couldn’t hind from them and well I do know that but I just need to get

away from them for the day. Anyways they both signed the note that Mrs. Ray wrote and gave me a list

of my work to do. All of my teachers had seen or had heard me and Marcus argue time and time again,

and they noticed that he would not stop someone from calling me hurtful names and then he would

also call me hurtful names, so the teachers knew I was upset if I wanted to be away from Marcus, Diana

and Kat.

I walked through the halls of the school and it was quite since all the classes were going, I walked up to

the library and walked in. When I walked in there was a lady in early thirty sitting behind a desk and she

looked up at me “Hey Ruby.” She said smiling to me and I smiled a bit back as I walked over to the desk

“Hey their Mel.” I said to her as I handed her the two notes that had signed by my teachers and she took

them “Boyfriend problems again?” She asks and I roll my eyes “That is an understatement of a life time,

since the asshole never loved me.” I said to her as looked at me “Wow that is harsh” she said to me and

nodded “You’re telling me, well I better go start on class work.” I said to her and walked over to a table

and started on my work. I got done with my Math work then I went to my English and so forth till done

with work. Soon I felt a light tap on my shoulder and I looked over my shoulder and there stud Mel with

a smile on her face. “Lunch time doll” She said smiling to me “Thanks for telling me, can I eat here?” I

asked her smiling “Of course you can, but you have to go move to the meeting room to eat.” She said

and I nodded to her. “I’m going to leave my things here.” I said to her and she smiled at me “Alright

doll.” She said and I took my lunch out of back pack and walked into the meeting room and sat down at

the table and got out my food and started to eat, I looked around the room as I eat and I hummed a bit.

‘I bet Alpha meeting would be held in a room as big as the gym if not bigger’ I thought to myself as I got

done with my lunch, and I got up and walked out of the room since I was the only one in the room, I

walked back to the table I was doing my work and it was all over the table. ‘I need to clean this up, since

I am done with my book work, I will just start drawing till art class.’ I thought to myself.

The bell rang for the last class of the day and I walked out of the library and walked back down stars and

headed to my art class. When I got in there I say that clay was sating on the tables in bags and I smiled a

bit. The teacher Miss. Ann was already in the class “Hey Miss. Ann.” I said to her smiling “Hey Ruby.” She

said to me and I took my art pad out of my back pack and handed it to her. “It’s over half way full.” I said

to her and looked me and then the art pad and I just smiled. “Clay work today.” She said to me and I

nodded “Anything we want to as normal or no?” I asked her and smirked “There is a theme today and

you will like it, so just wait till everyone comes in here.” She said to me and I nodded to her and took my

seat, my mind could only think of one thing and that was wolves and if so that would be cool. The other

students came into the class room and once they was in the in the classroom the Miss. Ann started to

teach. She told us that today we got to sculpt one of our sketches and that made me smile big time, I

knew I what I was going to sculpt. After she told us all the details of what she wanted us to do we got

started. I started to sculpt one a wolf that was going to be about ten inches tall by the time it was done.

The bell rang saying it was the end of the day, I was half was done with the project and I had got my a

text from mom saying that she had to stay for a meeting or something and that was fine with me,

because I could keep working on my project. “Ruby it’s time to go” Miss. Ann said to me and I looked up

at her “My mom is a teacher and I rode with her.” I said to her smiling “Well you know what to too when

you get done.” Ann said to me and I nodded “I’ll clean up when I got done so don’t worry.” I said to her

smiling “Okay Ruby.” She said and got ready to leave, then I got back to sculpting my wolf that was

sitting on its hind legs.
