The man on the other end of the call kept saying "Hello! Sir, are you there?" but Cameroon didn't respond. His agent eventually hung up, and Cameroon was left standing there. ...... The both of them remained silent for a while making the tension between them seems awkward. “I heard you on the phone...“ Avery raised an eyebrow. She just wasn't sure if it was him who spoke. But Cameroon remained silent and she hissed “ you should really stop pretending.. Who are you?“ She asked and Cameroon shivered a little but she didn't notice. He then went to type something on his phone and showed it to her. “ I can't.. and besides that was just a recorded audio from my dad” The text read and Avery scoffed. “You think I'll believe that?“ She walked closer to him.. and placed a finger on his jaw in a seductive way. “What are you hiding... Come on.. tell me. Your secret is safe with me”. But Cameroon shoved her finger away.. he was disgusted by her touch. The only person who could touch him was Maddie. Then he went back to his phone and typed something before showing it to her. “I mean it. I'm mute!“ The text read then he walked back to the class. “Tsk.. tsk.. tsk.. I'll find out your secret soon Cameroon or whatever you call yourself” Avery muttered before walking back to class. 🦋 CLOSING HOURS 🦋 Immediately the bell rang, signaling end of the day, everyone immediately left the class and headed home. Meanwhile, Cecelia was walking outside with Avery to her driver's car. And immediately they entered the car, the driver drove off. Cecelia then turned to Avery who had been quite since they got into the car. She had known Avery so well. And Avery wasn't a kind of person who would be quiet. “What's wrong?“ She asked touching Avery. And Avery turned to her. “He's not mute.“ “Who?“ Cecelia asked confused. “Cameroon... I caught him talking to someone on the phone” Avery shuttered and Cecelia stared at her unbelievable. “Girl.. I know you're suspicious of him... But that doesn't mean he can talk. He's mute “ “I know right? He might be fooling you guys... But he can't fool me. I heard him clearly “ Avery said with a sad expression. “Ok... Let's just forget about it. But why the sad expression?“ Cecelia asked and Avery shivered in fear. “He's here for a reason... He didn't just come to Clifford high to study... He came to find the truth “ Avery shuttered. ♡♡๑。♡♡。✿ ♡♡ LANGLIN'S MANSION 🦋 JASMINE'S ROOM🦋 Jasmine already had a shower and was now lying on her bed scrolling through her phone gallery. Just then she paused on one picture. In the picture she held a girl hands smiling and she could remember vividly when she took the picture. The girl was wearing a red leather tight skirt with a white baggy shirt. Jasmine hands insensitively moved around the girls face in the photo. “Zayn... I'm sorry. Hope you forgive me wherever you are” she muttered then a little tear dropped from her eyelid. ♡♡๑。♡♡。✿ ♡♡ REED'S MANSION 🦋 Cameroon's room 🦋 “The number you're trying to call is not available at the moment.. please try again later” Cameron's phone kept saying as he dialed his private agent's number. But it seems something had happened to his phone and Cameroon hissed. If only Avery hadn't interrupt him.. he would have find out who shot his sister. “Damn..!“ He cursed and then lay on his pillow his mind drifting back to the day his sister got shot. FLASHBACK 🦋🦋🦋 He had just arrived at the private hotel, his sister's voice still echoing in his ears from their earlier phone call. As he stepped out of the elevator, he heard a loud bang, followed by a faint cry. He rushed towards the sound, his heart racing with fear. That's when he saw her - his sister, lying on the floor in a pool of blood. He dropped to his knees beside her, holding her close as he frantically searched for the source of the blood. His eyes widened in horror as he saw the wound on her chest, just above her heart. The shooter had aimed straight for the kill. Cameroon's mind went blank as he held his sister's limp body, her eyes closed and her face pale. Without hesitation, he scooped her up in his arms and rushed towards the elevator. He could feel her blood seeping through his clothes, and his heart was racing with fear. He dialed his dad's number as he rushed towards the hospital. "Dad... it's me... sis... she's been shot," Cameroon stuttered into the phone. His dad's voice was calm and collected on the other end. "What happened?" Cameroon took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. "I don't know... I just arrived, and I found her like this." The hospital was just a few blocks away, and Cameroon rushed towards the emergency entrance. He burst through the doors, his sister's limp body still in his arms. The hospital staff rushed towards him, taking his sister from his arms. Cameroon watched in horror as they rushed her towards the operating room. He paced back and forth in the waiting room, his mind racing with fear. What if she didn't make it? What if he had been too late? Just then, his dad arrived, his face stern and angry. "What happened?" he demanded, his voice loud and accusatory. Cameroon took a step back, feeling a wave of guilt wash over him. "I don't know... I just arrived, and I found her like this." His dad's eyes narrowed. "You were supposed to protect her, Cameroon. You failed." Cameroon felt a stinging sensation in his eyes as tears welled up. "Dad, I..." But his dad cut him off. "You're no better than your mother. You're weak." Cameroon felt a wave of anger wash over him, but he bit back his retort. His sister's life was all that mattered right now. The doctor emerged from the operating room, his face somber. "She's in a coma. The bullet damaged her heart, and we're not sure if she'll make it." Cameroon felt like he had been punched in the gut. He stumbled backwards, his eyes fixed on the doctor. His dad's face turned red with rage. "This is all your fault, Cameroon. If you had just been more careful..." Cameroon tuned out his dad's words, his mind reeling with guilt and fear. He had failed his sister. He had failed to protect her. The hospital room was a blur as Cameroon sat beside his sister's bed, holding her hand and praying for her to wake up. But as the hours ticked by, there was no change. She remained unconscious, her life hanging in the balance. Cameroon's eyes were dry and tired, but he couldn't bring himself to leave her side. 🦋🦋BACK TO PRESENT 🦋🦋 Cameroon's thoughts turned to the shooter. Who was it? Why had they targeted his sister? He made a silent vow to himself. He would find the shooter, no matter what it took. He would make them pay for what they had done to his little sister. ✨✨ JAPAN ✨✨ REED'S PRIVATE HOSPITAL ♡♡๑。♡♡。✿ ♡♡ The room was dimly lit, the only sound the steady beeping of the machines surrounding the hospital bed. A young girl lay motionless, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. Oxygen tubes were inserted into her nostrils, and wires monitored her vital signs. A nurse, dressed in crisp white scrubs, entered the room, followed by another nurse. They moved quietly, their footsteps muffled by the soft carpet. "She's been laying there for months now," the first nurse said, examining the girl's chart. Her voice was soft and sympathetic. "Hope she wakes up," the second nurse added, adjusting the oxygen tubes. "She's so young... it's a tragedy." The nurses worked in silence for a few moments, checking the machines and making notes on the girl's chart. As they finished, they turned to leave. Just then, the girl's fingers twitched, ever so slightly. The nurses stopped in their tracks, turning back to the bed. "Did you see that?" the first nurse whispered, her eyes locked on the girl's hand. The second nurse nodded, her face filled with hope. "Maybe she's finally waking up." The nurses stood frozen, watching the girl's hand, willing her to move again. But there was no further movement, and the room fell silent once more. The nurses exchanged a disappointed glance, but they didn't give up hope. They had seen miracles happen before, and they knew that every small movement could be a sign of improvement. As they left the room, the nurse turned back to the girl, a soft smile on her face. "Don't worry, dear. We'll be here when you wake up." The door closed softly behind them, leaving the girl alone in the quiet room.
