Nick and Brent arrived a little before eight. Zeke saw his friend through new eyes. Brent was a lot like he was—slim build, pale, with large glasses, and incredibly intelligent in his area of expertise. Brent stared at him warily. Zeke took it upon himself to smile and shake hands.
