Every writer"s story, whether fiction or fact, is grounded in some life experience. I would like to thank the Baron Francesco Ricasoli of Castello di Brolio for his gracious hospitality in letting me vacation on the grounds of the Castello that his family has called home since 1141. Living, even for a short while, in the embrace of the history and tradition of the Ricasoli family estate made the scenes of A Death in Tuscany come alive.
