Derek’s face shifted from joy to stunned silence as Lisa's words sank in. He blinked twice, trying to process what she’d just revealed. “You… you’re pregnant?” he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.
Lisa nodded, biting her lip as she watched his reaction. “I just found out recently, and I wasn’t sure how to tell you. With the whole Cassandra drama, I wasn’t even sure how you’d feel about it.” she explained anxiously.
For a moment, Derek was speechless, his mind reeling from the news. Then, slowly, a wide smile spread across his face as the realization settled in. “Lisa, this is… this is incredible. I mean, I wasn’t expecting it, but… I couldn’t be happier.” His hands tightened around hers, his eyes lighting up with excitement. “We’re going to be parents!”
