Darian saw white lines encircle him, until the portal reformed again. The force from the portal sucked him up, and soon, he could see his body again. It was resting near Noel, as it leaned on a tree. His spirit was pushed back into his body and he sneezed, awake.
Noel jolted on hearing his sneeze. “Finally!” he said as he rose to his feet.
One of Darian’s hands touched his head as he tried to get used to the fact that his body did not operate the way his spirit did.
