We spent the next couple of hours talking as only girls know how to. Lauren was proudly wearing the mark of the Beta. She was quite discreet when talking about their time together so far but I suspected that was more to do with the fact her future Mom in Law was at the table. She did reveal that Hope, her wolf, had mated with Liam’s wolf Quil and that the two Wolves would happily spend all their time ‘rutting like stags’!
Everyone pushed me for information on my mark, but I kept quiet. Insisting that I would reveal all as soon as I knew Lucas was safe. I’d hoped they would show be a bit of sympathy then and not ask as much! But as far as they were concerned Lucas was with with his Dad and brothers, Jordan being more of an honorary brother than just a friend.
