This was quite the odd experience for Malachi. He felt like a Nobel-winning scientist who was being high school math by a preschooler. The magic that had wowed Mike was nothing but a cheap trick to Malachai, or rather it would be. If I had my old body back... There was not enough time in the world for ifs. He was a vampire that was a bit unusual. Unlike his counterparts, since birth, Malachi has always been more interested in the way of the scholar. Become one of the Sector's best theoreticist. No one from his solar system had ever achieved such a feat. Much of his research into cultivation and the soul aided the Van Locke Royal Family to solidify their current position. Remembering only made the boy gnash his teet. Before he could control every cell in his body. Now he could barel7y compete with an average ape from the forest. Let alone cast a spell. This made it hard to hide what he was feeling, like a person having a panic attack losing control of their breath, even though one knows there is no danger logically, the body at the end of the day is complex.  But mine is something else entirely. The curse had made Malachi's body mostly human but there was still much of dwelling within the darkness within him. He could feel it. He had the confidence. When it came to knowledge, if Malachi Van Locke claimed to be 2nd in the world, only a handful would dare claim to be first. Now what to do with this disaster of a body... He was now recovering from the sequoia of the curse and collecting himself. The moment Mel had let go of his had, his plan was already in motion. But by the time she noticed anything, it would be too late. "C'mon, let's go home. If we are gone for too long, we will grab unnecessary attention," said Mel as she prepared to leave. "Last time I checked we are in a position of warranting unwanted attention because of you and your weird fantasies." grumbled mike. Malachi tried to return to his old self in his mind. show no emotion, unless you intend to achieve a particular objective. The ultimate King is one who can use himself as a pawn. This was Malachi's mantra. The trio returned to their lodgings and went to do their own thing. Malachi got a simple one room. When he got there he saw a scroll that had been placed on his bed.  "Helios Flowchart." This was the name of the parchment. In it, it was a method of cultivating using the sun. This was a famous cultivation method well known all over the world for many reasons. "But this isn't the real thing." Malachi had come across multiple variants and the original in his previous life but never practiced them because the sun was their weakness. Cultivation using the Helios Flowchart was Tantamount to suicide. Especially to pure-blooded vampires like royalty. "They don't trust me." ignored the parchment and sat on his bed cross-legged. The Helios Flowchart was an extremely dumbed-down variant of what he knew. And it is a weak variant at that. They didn't trust Malachi enough to share true family clan secrets with an outsider. This was already kind enough of them, but what Malachi needed the most was time.  First, he needed time to collect his thoughts and order them. This had taken days to achieve. The seal of Thorne was no joke. It even caused hysteria in Malachi at the tavern. Who didn't know what water was? Especially a scientist, or rather, a theoretician of Malachi's level. Now that he was in the space to think about his next steps, he sorted out what he knew. "I was hit by the seal of Thorne and a curse. The two fused to create a cursed seal. The result of that is partial species mutation." The curse was a tricky thing to deal with because Malachi had no idea what it was, he barely remembered what he was doing when he was hit by the curse. heck the 100 years before that were like a blur to him.  Something is wrong. Someone tampered with my mind! Cultivation was an art that was split into 3 parts. Cultivating the mind, cultivating the soul and cultivating the body. Malachi was a specialist on the Soul and body. The mind was the least understood of the three and thus the hardest to cultivate. The soul could only be cultivated by creatures that have a spiritual affinity while body cultivation usually involved the use of expensive materials coupled with arduous torture. A powerful illusionist was a master of the min. A necromancer that could resurrect thousands of undead was a master of the soul while a martial artist who could punch through mountains with a single fist was a master of the body. No one he knew besides himself could do such a thing. The soul was the minds shield, and the soul was his area of expertise. So his mind was under deep protection. "Unless I did it myself...but why would I do that?" Malachi spent a lot of hours theorizing and trying to come up with scenarios, and the outcomes he arrived at made him frown.  Malachi had too many ideas floating about in his head, so his focus was weak. When dawn broke out, Malachi left his lotus meditation position and left the bed. At first, he did a set of stretches. These stretches then led to some odd movements. The body of a human can only improve inch by inch this way, but it is necessary to form foundations before the true construction begins. Indeed. At first, Malachi was distraught at his predicament, but now there was hope. Vampires were vastly stronger than humans, but divinity, silver and the sun were not their only weaknesses or rather becoming human allowed him to do amazing. In the world of cultivation, there is a saying. The more you can rely on your bloodlines, the more talented you were, but the less potential you had. Humans did not have anything such as a pure bloodline. The very first human was actually a crossbreed according to the most widespread legends. Humans had no pue bloodlines, but through cultivation and usage of materials and understanding of cultivation theory, they could theoretically unlock any bloodline that has ever been in their ancestry. No other species could do this. Vampires were all children of darkness, hence the name Dark Dwellers. But Humans were different. darkness, light, fire, water, lightning, hellfire, curses, seals, there was no limit to what a human could do...in theory. As a Vampire, he was powerful but restricted to travel a certain path. Although it was an easy path, it was just one path. He became a theoreticist for many reasons, but one of the main reasons was to see if he could escape the restraints of his genetics. He saw himself and an old dilapidated castle that had been crushed, and he was now the architect of what was there! To a cultivation geek like Malachi, this was a dream come true. Malachai's plan was to first strengthen his body by cultivating. He didn't even bother to look at the parchment. He walked out of the room with as faceless expression as possible. He left his cabin-like dorm and arrived at a tent within the forest, that his mobile device had directed him to.  He was given one by Mel, as they were a necessity to survive for the average human. Malachi was already family with these things.  I used to consider these mere trinkets. Now I have to rely on one. How odd. The creation of these little devices had little to do with cultivation so Malachi had little knowledge on how they functioned but he could use the map function with ease. Mel had bookmarked a spot on the map for him. According to Mel, the phone also acted as a sort of I.D. Without it moving freely in this weirdly technological hippie clan was an odd experience for Malachi.  Not to mention, that person is lying to me Malachi lied a lied, he was manipulative and arrogant, so he naturally hated having the same done to him. I'm going to confront her when I reach phase 4 Malachi had created a five-phase plan to achieve his main objective, which was to gain power. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, but the first is always the trickiest when one's life is at risk.  To put it simply. Malachi needed Mel. And she needed him.  She just doesn't understand it yet. If it is like that, then I will take care of this myself...my way   .... Mel was doing her early morning practice session by a small stream. The morning was when the sun first rose, bringing life to the surroundings. Helios Cultivators normally prefer cultivation at midday, when the sun is at its highest, but for some od, reason, she really liked morning. as she pondered her little oddity she saw Malachi walking to her. It was simply criminal how handsome he was.
