I think Vincenzo and I spent more time f*****g in the showers than actually showering, but I didn’t mind. I just hope the baby doesn’t mind either.
I was the only one in the room now.
Halfway through us getting out of the showers, Vince got a call, and he had to rush out to deal with it, leaving only me in the room to get dressed before he returned back to the room.
I had on a red maxi skirt that stopped just above my shin, with a white puff sleeve crop top. I styled my hair to the side in a mermaid braid. A light shade of makeup and flat wedged sandals. I wanted to feel as comfortable as possible today. Feeling satisfied with my look, I did a twirl in the mirror and smiled at myself.
Suddenly a wave of nostalgia hit me as I turned to my side in the mirror and looked at my flat stomach in the reflection. I really hoped the baby would be a girl. The pregnancy hasn’t started showing yet, but I already felt like a mother. If it turned out to be a girl, I’d braid her hair, dress her up, and have all sorts of girly fun with her, do things I wished I’d done with my own mother growing up. But something tells me that if the baby ends up begin a girl, she would probably be spoilt rotten by her father. And if the baby was a boy, I bet he would be as handsome as his father.
“I can’t wait to finally meet you my baby.” I spoke to the growing embryo in my womb as I stroked my tummy tenderly. At some point I know I won’t be able to dress like this any more.
“What are you trying to do, My sweet girl? Tempt me?” Vincenzo’s voice snapped me out of my day dream and I spun around to find him stalking towards me. He had on black pants and a white shirt that was tucked in and held in place with a black Gucci belt. His eyes were full of admiration as I came to hug me and I inhaled that his signature scent.
“The weather said it would be a bit warm out today, plus, I had a feeling we would be doing a lot of walking today so I wore something that would allow me move freely.” I shrugged.
“Hm. It’s official…”
“What’s official?”
“Undressed or fully clothe, my wife is still sexyy.” he purred.
A soft shade of pink dusted my cheeks at his words.
“Have you always been this…cheesy?” I looked away from him and he chuckled, hooking a finger under my chin and forced me to look at him.
“Don’t look away from me, baby.” he kissed my forehead. “I might be the boogieman in everyone’s story, but for you, I’ll be prince charming.” he winked at me.
“Oh my god! Who are you and what have you done to that arrogant bastard I meet at the club?” I laughed.
“He found the love of his life.” he wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up, twirling me around. I truly felt fortunate to be the only one asides his siblings who get to see this side of Vincenzo. Or maybe I was the only one who got to see this side of him since he’s my husband now.
“...Husband.” I muttered the word under my breath as I brushed my finger through his thick black hair.
“Wife.” he replied.
“Come on. I already asked Sanchez to get the car ready for us.” he let go off me and went to grab his watch.

The streets of Athens buzzed with life as I walked hand in hand with Vincenzo.
The sun hung high over the whitewashed buildings, casting soft golden hues across the cobbled walkways and I couldn’t stop gasping in awe as we passed one store or the other. I felt like I’d stepped into a painting—one of those dreamy postcards with vivid blues and crisp whites that shimmer like secrets in the sunlight.
Vincenzo held my hand as we strolled through the Plaka district, and I couldn't help smiling like a complete i***t. Every now and then, he’d lift my hand to his lips and kiss it gently, like he hadn’t already done that a hundred times this morning.
“What would you like to do first today, Cara?” he asked me, and I looked at him with a thoughtful look.
“Well. I was hoping we could hit some shops if that’s alright with you.”
“Alright. In that case, I should take you some place special, right?”
It didn’t look like it, but Vincenzo was perhaps even more excited about this trip than I was. Being the infamous Don of a gang that ran more than half of New York must not give him the breathing space to enjoy himself often. It was sad. But knowing Vincenzo, even if it disturbed him, he wouldn’t ever voice it out.
With a newfound determination I decided to make it my own side quest to make him enjoy this honeymoon to the fullest.
“Come on, Princess.” he tugged my hand and I nodded, following behind him as my free handheld onto the sun hat Vincenzo had bought for me.
Vincenzo brought me into an elegant shop. Rows and Rows of expensive clothing lined the shop. Different styles, color, for all shapes and sizes, while glittering chandeliers hung from the ceiling. It was like a girl's wonderland in here.
