Separate Ways

James and Romela had a good relationship until they were in their last year of high school. Wendell followed his parents to America and continued his studies there. Ivory has a new boyfriend at another school and has decided to transfer there. James and Romela made many new friends, Maureen being one of them. She was beautiful and cheerful, so she got closer to the couple. Maureen was sitting next to each other and Romela often noticed that the woman was very close to her boyfriend. Romela was elected as student president and because of that she became very busy. Sometimes she doesn't have time for James anymore. At first the young man still understood this, but later he changed, little by little, to Romela.

"Babe, sorry, our meeting just ended" Romela apologized to the young man. "It's fine, but I want to say that I notice that you are losing time with us" James said sadly. "I'm so sorry babe, I promise I'll get back to you" said Romela while holding her boyfriend's hand. "Okay, babe, I have something to tell you.. Paul invited me to his birthday party. He said that I should take you with me. But I know that your mother is not going to let you? James asked. Romela just nodded and regretted the chance. "Alright, you can go.. but don't drink too much and go home early babe huh?" Romela instructed. "Okay babe, I will" said James, smiling.

Their friend Paul's birthday had arrived. There were many invited guests. One of them was Maureen, who had a constant crush on James.That night she planned to seduce him. She wants to always be with James, even though the young man's company is all men. It seems that James drank too much and felt dizzy, so he went to a corner to rest. Maureen approached him to talk to him but it turned out that the woman had something else planned for the young man. She had a crush on James for a long time. He always felt jealous whenever she saw the lovers together. When Maureen saw that James was already drunk, she flirted with the young man. She tried to hug him and was about to kiss him when James stopped her. "Wait, what are you doing?" James was trying to open his eyes. "James, I like you..you can always have me, since Romela doesn't have time for you" said the girl. "I can give you all my time" she added. James didn't seem to hear anything, he just leaned against the wall and this caused Maureen to kiss him. The girl became very aggressive, she really wanted to get James from Romela. The young man seemed to have lost himself and returned the kiss. Paul's girlfriend, Emily, saw Maureen and James kissing because of her shock. She was speechless and left immediately.

The next day, Romela immediately asked James what happened at Paul's party. "The party is okay" answered the young man sparingly. Romela became busier, causing James to become closer to Maureen. They are always seen together when James is not with his girlfriend. "Romela, can I talk to you?" Emily said when they were at the meeting of an organization at school. "Sure, about what?" said the girl, smiling at Paul's girlfriend. Emily's conscience could no longer hide what she saw that night, so she had to tell Romela. "You remember when it was Paul's birthday, you didn't go, right? I saw James and Maureen kissing that night," Emily confessed. "I've always wanted to tell you this but Paul didn't allow me and he told me not to interfere, but I can't because I'm also a woman, Romela. I'm sorry if I just said it now" added Emily. Romela seemed to be doused with cold water. He couldn't speak, tears were welling up in his eyes. She wanted to scream in anger but she couldn't. She walked away with tears streaming down her face. James saw her and immediately approached his girlfriend. He was about to hold Romela's hand but the girl immediately avoided it. "Let's talk" Romela said angrily to her boyfriend.

“Did something happen at Paul's party that I should know about? The girl asked. " Huh? What should you know?" James said, as if he couldn't remember what happened. "Someone saw you and Maureen kissing, don't you dare deny it?" Romela said angrily. The girl was crying because she was so angry. "I'm so sorry babe, I didn't mean it, I just got carried away" explained James. “ You always don't have time for me so I became close to Maureen but babe, I love you!" James tried to calm his girlfriend down. "Do you not trust me?" added the young man." Trust? I trust you James so much that even when I see you and Maureen getting close, I just ignore it because I trust you!” Romela said crying. "I was just busy .. because I needed this to keep my scholarship, why did you do this to me?" the girl's tears flowed more and more. "Look, Im so sorry.. please forgive, I promise I won't go near Maureen" James begged the girl. "I don't know if I can forgive you, I'm in a lot of pain right now, maybe it's better if we break up" Romela said sadly. This was the last conversation between the two. After that, they had no communication. Romela was sent to another school to attend a seminar. While she was gone, some say that James and Maureen were in a relationship.
