Is it a mistake?

The project they were working on was finished and they decided to go home. "I'll take you to your house, Romela" said James. "It's getting late, besides it's also my way home," he added. "Alright, let's go.. maybe my mother is looking for me too" Romela said. While the two were going home, they were both silent. They were both thinking about what happened earlier. Romela felt some romantic feeling and she couldn't deny it. James was also happy with what happened to them that day with Romela. "Can I ask about your relationship with Ivory?" she asked suddenly.James replied "Sure, you can ask anything you want to ask". "What did you like about Ivory and how does it feel to be in a relationship?" asked Romela. "She's beautiful but naughty, in fact she's the one who courted me" James answered while looking at Romela's reaction. "Really, Ivory is obviously aggressive, how does it feel to have a girlfriend?" Romela grumbled." Feeling? Why don't you have a boyfriend yet? James asked. "Not yet, I don't have a boyfriend yet," Romela answered shyly. James was surprised by the girl's answer and immediately thought that his friend would be very lucky if she answered him. "You don't have a boyfriend yet, but you already have your first kiss," James teased the girl. “ Yes, because of you! You're annoying ", Romela laughed at once.

They had reached the street of Romela's house. "Just over here, that's our house" while pointing to the third house on the right. "Thanks for taking me home, take care on your way home too!" she added. "Bye Romela! See you tomorrow!” James smiled goodbye. When Romela got home, her mother immediately shouted at her. "Why did you come home late? Maybe you already have a boyfriend at school?" the mother asked him angrily. "Because we did a project and it needs to be passed tomorrow, so we stayed late," she explained, " besides I already informed you but you didn't even reply" she added" Instead of helping me, you're just doing nothing!" shouted the mother. Romela was in tears again while going to their room. Her mother never believed her every time she explained. It was better for her to keep quiet and wait for her mother's long litany to end.

After changing her clothes, Romela immediately lay down on her bed. Suddenly, what happened to him and James earlier came to her mind. The girl wonders why she couldn't get angry or avoid James after that happened. After all, James was her first kiss. She touched her lips and she didn't realize that she was smiling while day dreaming. “ What the hell is happening to me, it's impossible! James has a girlfriend!” Romela whispered to herself. The next day, Romela was very surprised that her friend Wendell had come back to school." Romela! how are you? Didn't you miss me?” Wendell asked jokingly as the girl approached their seat. "Wendell, you're good now.. how are you? Are you okay?" asked Romela." Yes, I insisted on getting well soon for you" Wendell said with a smile. The two spoke eagerly because they had not seen each other for more than two weeks. In a corner, James was watching and secretly feeling jealous. He knows in himself that he has no right, but he feels a little pain when he sees Romela and Wendell together.

"Bro, how are you doing here at school? I've missed a lot of lessons" Wendell said to James when they were together at basketball practice. They are both varsity players in their school and both can be considered good players. " Of course, the one I miss the most is Romela, bro, help me, how can I get the approval of Romela to date her? Wendell asked. James sighed before answering, "Honestly, I can't help you with that, bro,first of all, I didn't court Ivory. Secondly, I don't know Romela very well", James lied. Even though he already knew a lot about the girl, it was better for him to say that. He didn't know why he didn't seem to want to help Wendell. Something is holding him back.

"Come with us later, I'll invite Romela to watch a movie!" Wendell invited James. "His mother won't allow that," replied James. How did you know that? I thought you didn't know her well yet?" Wendell asked. He couldn't know that he and Romela were already talking, so James just lied. "I only heard of it when Bea used to invite her, her friend who had already transferred".

"Romela, can I invite you to watch a movie? I've heard that we will be sent home early" Wendell asked Romela. "Alright, it's okay, but is it just two of us only? I was afraid that someone might see us and tell my mother." Romela said worriedly. "No, James is with us.. right James? " Yes, okay" James answered, looking at Romela. “ Let's include Ivory! said Wendell.

At an unexpected event, Wendell had to finish a project and he decided to cancel their movie date. Romela was about to go home alone when James and Ivory went down the stairs at the same time. James is carrying Ivory's belongings and is obviously going to take her home. James glanced at Romela but she didn't say anything. Romela suddenly felt pain at what she saw and felt her tears fall. The girl was confused by her feelings. She only knows one thing; she is wrong to love James because he has a girlfriend.
