“Does anyone want more?” Merrick called from the grill.  He had been eating as he cooked so I knew he wasn’t hungry but he wanted to make sure everyone was full before putting out the fire. Everyone responded with a collective shake of the head so he looked at me with a grin. “I’m not doing it.” I laughed. “Come on! It looks so cool!” He pleaded. “Nope.”  “Please?” He looked at me with puppy dog eyes that don’t belong to a grown man, causing me to laugh even louder. “Okay, fine. But only if you stop making that face.”  “It’s a deal!” He instantly grinned. I quickly pulled a single drop of water from the ground, lifting it into the air and letting it grow until there was enough to put the flame out.
