“GODRIC won’t talk about it,” Silas told Selene as soon as he stepped out of the blood being’s room. “Don’t worry about him too much, it takes more than a strangulation to kill a vampire. He’s just sulking, if you ask me.”
“Thank you for coming quickly, Silas,” she said.
“It’s my job,” Silas just simply said. “Did he tell you not to tell anyone what happened?”
“Not really.” The two of them started walking down the hall to the stairs. “Truth is, I don’t understand what happened either. I couldn’t believe Caleb would do that.”
“Tell me what he said again before he left. You said he warned Godric.”
Selene hugged her arms. “Well, that’s what it sounds like. I don’t really understand what it meant, but he said something about a hunter coming after Godric the next time he comes back.”
