Ever since the test with yuan qi soul stone to check the heaven and earth affinity of the young children of the clan zichen has been constantly bullied by the other kids , especially Yang fen . That’s why his father knew who was behind this recent wounds on zichen .
The yuan qi soul stone was the tool that was used for checking a person’s affinity with the heaven and earth yuan qi .
It has nine rings on it .
The person needs to place their hands on the yuan qi soul stone and the stone will light up depending on the person’s affinity with the heaven and earth yuan qi.
The higher the number of rings that light up the ,with higher the affinity with the heaven and earth yuan qi .
The heaven and earth yuan qi Is the energy that can be felt all around us.
It’s more like the essence of the universe and the heaven and earth yuan qi is what cultivators need to breakdown new levels and also nourish their body and vitality.
The more affinity a person has with the heaven and earth yuan qi , the easier it will be for them to sense it and absorb it. And it also helps cultivation speed .
For example, someone that could only light up two rings on the yuan qi soul stone would find it a lot harder to sense the heaven and earth yuan qi compared to someone who light up four rings .
A person who manage to light up four rings can easily archive the same result or even better compared to a person who light up just two rings and he can archive it with a lesser time spent cultivating.
During the yuan qi soul stone test it was a lot of the kids had high affinities with most of them managing to light up four rings while the more gifted ones light up five rings .
And Yang fen was among the ones who managed to light up four rings thereby gaining the attention and favor of the clan’s higher ups . And that brought more Favour and resources to his family and his father was even promoted in the clan .
And on the other hand unfortunately for Yang zichen he wasn’t even able to light up even a single ring . It was later found out that he had crippled meridians and therefore won’t be able to cultivate.
Cripples meridians means he won’t be able to sense the heaven and earth yuan qi .
From then on he became the laughing stock and target of bullying.
He was often mocked and bullied for not being able to cultivate .
But he was still persistent and never stop training his sword skills.
“ it’s fine dad . I’m not badly hurt .” Zichen said while walking to a corner of the room where a little kid of around four years old was playing .

“ don’t worry big brother when I grow up I will definitely beat up all the bad people “ it was Zichen’s little brother. Yang ziwei , he was only four years old and hasn’t started learning cultivation.
Usually kids were able to start sensing the heaven and earth yuan qi from the age of six . That’s when they start cultivating and try to break into the Body Refinement Realm.

After that they all had a good meal together and zichen went to his room to rest .
The next day zichen woke up early and went to the back of their house to train his sword skills .
Although he could sense the heaven and earth yuan qi , he was still determined on training his sword techniques.
And just like that days turned into months and he still kept on practicing his sword techniques.
On a sunny afternoon two kids could be seen in the backyard of their house training together.
One was using two wooden short swords while the other used a wooden spear.
Even though the kid with the short swords was older he was finding hard to keep up against the kid with the spear .
The older kid with the sword went for a strike with his sword towards the other kids left side but he used his spear to deflect it and then spurn around while trusting his spear at the other kids shoulder .
It had made contact and sent the other kid flying backwards.
“ big brother are you okay “ the smaller kid with light black hair with a few stands of white and slightly whitish eyes asked as he walked towards the other kid .
“ don’t worry am fine “ you seem to be getting a lot better with your spear “ . Zichen said while still laying on the floor and his brother went and sat beside him.
It has already been two years since the last yuan qi soul stone test . And throughout the years zichen has constantly been training his sword skills even though he still hasn’t Brooken through to the Body Refinement Realm .
On the other hand ziwei is as already at the body refinement level . He was able to light up six rings during the yuan qi affinity test and that made the clan Favour him and provided him with resources.
His father was even promoted and their living quarters were changed to a better place.
“ yeah and it’s all thanks to to you big brother “. I wouldn’t have gotten this good if not for your guidance “. Ziwei replied.
Zichen spent a lot of his time reading and researching on martial arts and how to fix his broken meridians so that made him knowledgeable about martial arts and a lot of other things.
Zichen was already eight years old with his jet black hair and dark eyes . He had brown compared to two years ago .
He was still getting bullied by the other kids but it ziwei was always there to defend him which was used to make mockery of him.
Because he was supposed to be the one protecting his younger brother, not the other way around.
But there was one person that was not happy with the way things were going and that Yang fen and his father .
He hated the fact that ziwei was getting the attention of the clan higher ups .
And so was his dad . He was angry cause Zichen’s dad was now on the same rank as him , and he was already planning on how to deal with them .
In another part of the clan three men were discussing in a low tone and their faces were covered.
“Yang lee are sure about this?” One of the men asked the man in the middle.
“ of course. Or do you prefer to allow things to go like this ?”
Yang lee asked back.
“ let’s just get this over with and put a stop to that brat ziwei and his old man “.
