“ Noooo mother !! Father !!” Ziwei was screaming at the top of his lungs, trying to break free from Zichen’s grip.
“ it’s okay ziwei , mother and father will be okay. Zichen was trying to comfort his little brother but he was also in pains because he k ew that it was near impossible for his parents to make it out alive.
“ But they’re in danger and those masked men has them surrounded . We have to go back and help them “ Ziwei was still trying to break free .
“ stop it ziwei ! Mom and dad can take care of themselves. Besides we’re too weak to be of any help to them. “ zichen was trying to calm his brother down.
“ But are we just going to abandon them ?” Ziwei asked with tears still in his eyes.
“ Father and mother can handle their situation. For now all we need to do is analyze our situation and to know where we are and what to do next “ zichen said while looking around .
It appears that they have been teleported to another town.
This place looked a lot more peaceful and calm compared to the bustling and competitive atmosphere of the suncloud city where everyone was scheming and playing on ways to obtain more power .
Looking around he could see that the streets were filled with happy and carefree people that were either walking home , discussing with friends or family or just enjoying the good view of the setting sun .
This town situated close to mountain range. It wasn’t as big other medium cities but it looked a lot more peaceful and the people moving about all look happy .
“ Come ziwei let’s find a place to stay for today then we can find out more about this place tomorrow when the sun rises.” Zichen said as he picked up his sword and started leading his brother to the mountain range .
“ we can over to that mountain range and just stay for the night “. Zichen said .
“ but wouldn’t that be dangerous? What if some beasts come out of there ?” Ziwei asked .
“. Don’t worry we won’t go too far in, we can just stay at the edge of the mountains. “ Zichen replied him as they kept on walking .
They made their way to edge of the mountain and rested there for the night.
The next morning the sun was up and so were the two brothers as they made their way into the town.
They both carried a spear and a sword behind their backs so story drew attention to themselves.
“ excuse me miss , please what’s the name of this town ?” Zichen asked one of the ladies in a*****e .
She was first surprised but then she noticed that they were just kids . “ this is the hidden lead town . Are you kids new here? Where are your parents?” She asked as looked around but couldn’t see any adult with them .
“ We’re here alone . Our parents were fighting against some bad guys and then they sent us here “ ziwei replied with sadness as he remembered what happened .
“ oh my goodness! Where did that happen and where are from ?”
The young lady became sad for them .
“ Uh it’s fine . Our will come to get us so you don’t have to worry about us. Anyway thanks, have a good day “. Zichen pulled ziwei hand and started walking away .
“ Ziwei you shouldn’t say things like that to someone we just met and besides we don’t know where we are or who we can trust “
“ oh ok big brother “ ziwei replied as he looked around with curiosity.
After walking around for sometime and getting something to eat with the little money they had on them before he assassination attempt . And when it was getting dark they started heading back to the mountains where they stayed the night before.
But on getting their they found an old man standing in front of them . He looked ordinary with a staff in his hand. Although old he still looked like someone filled with vitality.
“ you two are not from around here are you ?” The old man asked .
“ no we’re not . We came here under some circumstances . Do you have any idea where the suncloud city is old man ?” Zichen asked respectfully.
“ The suncloud city huh . Well then that means your car from home.” The old man said while looking at them with interest.
“ how far are we old man ? Cause we really need to go and help our parents” ziwei said from the side.
“ I can see you have a sword and a spear , which suggests you’re martial cultivators . But I can’t sense any form of heaven and earth yuan qi from you “ the old man said pointing at zichen .
“ that’s because I was born with broken meridians and couldn’t sneeze the heaven and earth yuan q” Zichen replied.
“ hmm well I might be able to take a look at your condition. Why don’t we head up the mountain and then we can talk more “. The old man said and started walking on a path that leads up to the mountain.
“ but isn’t dangerous up there ? I mean is there no beasts there? Ziwei asked while looking at zichen .
“ it’s fine . I live up there . And I watched you while you slept yesterday so you don’t have to worry about any beasts coming here”. The old man responded without looking back .
“ cmon Ziwei let’s go “ zichen held his brothers hand and started walking on ghe path the old man went in .
When they got up they could see a small but well built house that looked big enough for two people.
The area around the house was cleared and there was enough open space around .
“ alright let’s go in “ the old man stepped inside . “ there’s some food left over there, you can have them “.
Ziwei immediately grabbed the food and started wolfing it down.
“ so who are you ? And why do you live at the top of a mountain?” Zichen asked as he liked around in curiosity.
“ you can call me old man Bai . And a I am here because I don’t like associating with people a lot” old man Bai replied him .
“ Do you live up here alone ?’ Zichen asked
“ I just told you that I don’t like associating with people” old man Bai answered
“But - he wanted to asked another question before old man Bai cut him off.
“ that’s enough questions for one day . Go get some rest and we can talk tomorrow “ old man Bai was already walking to one of the rooms in the small house.
After eating the two boys went to the over room and felt into a deep sleep due to all the pent up stress and depression from the past couple of days.
