Chapter 5The next morning, exactly at nine o’clock, Geoff drove up to the gate in front of Travis’s house. He called Travis, and a couple of minutes later, the iron gate swung open. Geoff started up the curving drive. He got out just as Travis, clad in a pair of shorts and T-shirt, came out to greet him. “Welcome to my little shack,” Travis said, pointing toward the white-bricked, two-story building behind him. “Little? This is your definition of little?” Travis laughed and led Geoff inside to the wide-open, echoing hall with the curving grand staircase lit by large windows. A giant chandelier with colored glass prisms hung over the hardwood floor. “Where are my manners? Ya want something to drink?
