CHAPTER THREE

~RAVENNA~

Sean didn't stop pestering me with his apologies. What made things worse was that he was acting very clingy and didn't want to leave my side.

He knew I was angry and no matter how many times I pushed him away, he wouldn't leave.

After a while, I grew tired of fighting with him and just let him do whatever he wanted.

He got me gifts, food and everything he could to bribe me into thinking that he loved me. He even wrote love poems and letters to me, professing his love and how he was always Going to choose me.

I couldn't even lie, it was slowly working. It helped that I didn't see Rebecca at all when we were together. He never spoke about her or acted like she existed.

It almost felt like things were going back to normal.

“I told you he would come to his senses” My wolf uttered happily in my mind and although I smiled, I couldn't ignore this nagging feeling in my stomach no matter how hard I tried to ignore it.

“Look what I got for you for tonight's ball” Sean murmured then snapped his fingers and some maids walked into the room with a gown, jewelry, a pair of this and a purse.

“I want you to be my date for tonight” He Murmured as he reached for my hand and this time, I willingly Let him hold me.

He noticed this and a bright smile broke out on his face.

The maids dropped the things on my bed then immediately left.

“I want to see the gown on you” He murmured then slowly helped me up from the bed.

I quickly stripped and was about to pull out the gown when he suddenly grabbed me, pressing my naked body against his clothed body.

“Ravenna” He murmured my name as he dragged his fingers along my skin and usually, I did feel something. Want? Need?

At that moment, I felt nothing.

“I want to claim you, Ravenna” He murmured and I froze. Even though we were mates, Sean hadn't marked me yet.

Sure we had had s*x but when it came to marking, we both thought it was better to take it slow.

“Let me mark you, hmm?” He murmured as he placed soft kisses on my neck. I closed my eyes as I tried to feel something but I felt nothing.

My whole body felt numb.

“Maybe some other time. I'm still mad at you” I murmured and tried pulling away but he won't let go.

“At least let me taste you. I miss you so much, it hurts” He whispered as he grinded his hard erection against my butt.

“Sean…”

“Please just this once. I need you” He murmured and I sighed. I was too weak when it came to this man and I did miss him.

We haven't had s*x in so long because of how busy he has been with preparing to become Alpha.

He slowly turned me around and as soon as our eyes connected, he slammed his lips against mine and I instantly gave in.

By the time Sean finally let me go, my whole body was wasted. He pulled me close into his arms and it didn't take long before I slowly fell asleep.

“I'm sorry, Ravenna” I thought i heard him say but before I could dwell on it, I feel asleep.

By the time I woke up, the Sun was setting and not only that, Sean wasn't by my side anymore.

I frowned as I slowly sat up. I swear if he was with Rebecca, I was leaving right that instance.

I got out of bed and hurriedly got dressed before going out to search for him.

Rebecca was staying at the pack house so I decided to go check there first but I found her outside talking to a few other girls which made me heave a sigh of relief.

So if he wasn't with her, then where was he?

“Maybe he had something to take care of. He had duties, Ravenna” My wolf reminded me and I sighed. At this point, I was just being paranoid.

I turned around and was about to head back to my room when Rebecca called out my name and I halted in my steps.

“Ravenna, right?” She asked as she walked up to me. I slowly turned around and took in her appearance. She was gorgeous, the kind of beauty that had men breaking their necks to get a glimpse of her.

She had blonde hair with blue eyes and a banging slim body which she showed off. She was wearing a very tight fitted gown that hugged her in all the right places.

I stopped myself from looking down on myself but I couldn't help it. Compared to her, my hair was stark Black which was where the name Ravenna came from.

Compared to her ocean Blue eyes, mine were deep blue and were often mistaken for black.

“I'm here to tell you how sorry I am that this is happening. It must be heartbreaking to you” She Uttered and the girls behind her snickered which made me frown. Was I missing something?

“What are you talking about?” I asked and her eyes widened.

“Oh Sean hasn't told you yet? Then I better keep it to myself…”

“What are you talking about, Rebecca?” I asked and she sighed dramatically.

“Sean is going to announce his marriage to me at the ball tomorrow. I'm going to be his future Luna” She informed me and I felt my whole world stop.

“You're lying” I murmured and she raised an eyebrow then wiggled her fingers at me and I gasped. On her finger was the family heirloom ring which was given to every Luna in the family.

“I know this is tough for you to take in but Sean told me you can't have babies anymore and you know how important that is if you want to become Luna. He needs…”

“Rebecca!” Sean roared from behind and I was too frozen to say anything as he walked to us.

He glared at her before turning to me.

“Ravenna, let's…”

“I lost my chances of ever having a baby because of you and this is how you repay me?” I surprised myself by how calm my voice sounded but deep down, I was burning with rage.

I had thrown myself in front of Sean years ago and had been brutally Beaten up to the point that I had almost died. I had lost my chances of ever giving birth because I wanted to save him and he assured me it was never going to be an issue.

“Ravenna please…”

“Go to hell Sean and I wish you both a happy married life. I, Ravenna Vale, reject Sean Riven as my mate” I muttered and immediately, pain rippled through my whole body while my wolf howled painfully in my head.

Sean fell to the ground screaming as he continuously called out my name.

“You can't do this. I won't accept it! I'm sorry, I'll make things right! Ravenna please!” He cried out as he grabbed onto my leg.

“It's too late” I muttered as a tear slid down my cheek. I shook off his hold and ran as fast as I could while clutching onto my heart.

I needed to get out of here as fast as I could. I ran into my room and picked up the luggage I had packed a few days ago.

The merchants Were leaving today. I just hoped they hadn't left yet, I just hoped I could catch up with them.

Ignoring the pain I was feeling, I ran as fast as I could out of that house, ignoring the stares and murmurs.

I heard James yell my name but I ignored him. Tears blurred my vision but that didn't stop me from running.

I could barely breathe at that point but I didn't dare stop. One thing was on my mind.

I needed to leave.

I caught sight of the merchants and ran towards them.

“I want to go. I want to be on the list!” I told them before bending down to catch my breath.

“The list Is already closed. Go back, shewolf” One of the guards uttered Rudely but I stood in front of him stubbornly.

“I need to be on that list” I said with more firmness.

“What's going on?” A man with Auburn Hair walked out from the car and the guards immediately bowed their heads.

He was strikingly handsome, out of this world handsome and his Aura was powerful. This wasn't just any regular merchant.

“Nothing Lord. We were just telling this shewolf that the list is closed” One of the guards replied and the handsome man's eyes remained on me.

He had green eyes and unlike Sean who's green Eyes, although pretty were dull, this man's eyes held life yet a little but of death in them. Like he had seen the world.

“Please let me join” I murmured as soon as I found my voice and the man's eyes trailed down my body.

“Ravenna!” I froze when I heard Sean call my name from behind.

I turned around slightly and saw him running towards me with James And a few guards in tow.

“Please let me go with you!” I pleaded as I turned back to the green eyed man.

“I already told you shewolf that…”

“She can come. We can never have too many of them” The green eyed man uttered and I could see a slight glint in his eyes.

“Get into the bus” He commanded and he didn't have to tell me twice before I climbed into the bus.

There were a few women there that I recognised. They were all surprised to see me.

As soon as I seated them, the bus roared to life at the same time Sean got to the green eyed man.

“That's my mate! Ravenna! Please Don't leave me!” Sean screamed and tried coming towards the bus but the green eyed guards held him back.

He tried fighting them off but they were stronger.

“If you insist on taking her out, I'll let the Alpha king know that you took away one of his women and you won't like the aftermath” The green eyed man warned.

“She's my mate! She belongs to me and no One else!” He growled and my Lips wobbled as I held back my tears.

“Start the bus now, we're leaving” The green eyed Man uttered before getting into his car and Sean tried running towards the bus but he was still being held down.

“Ravenna please! I'll make things Right. I'll marry you tonight If that's what you want! Don't leave me, I'm begging you!” He screamed and I pursed my lips.

The car slowly began to move and I turned away from him as tears Slid down my cheeks.

It was already too late…
