Knox didn't say anything after that and neither did I. I didn't know what to say or how to assure him that he wasn't a monster when that was the first thing I called him when we first met.
As I stared at him, I knew there was more to the story but I could tell he had reached his limit and didn't want to talk anymore but honestly, he didn't need to. I could finally understand why he was the way he was and why he hated his mother.
